Some of our best hires were totally unqualified on paper. They always had the same qualities: entrepreneurial, high agency, smart, mission aligned, and they got shit done. If you’re hiring, especially in early stages, seek out & bet on these people. Don’t over-index on resumes.

The clearer you define this up front, the less you micromanage later.

14 years ago Lara Logan, a CBS reporter, went to Egypt to report on the Arab Spring. Despite having an entourage, she ended up getting encircled and gang r*ped by several men, including some of those "protecting" her. Think what those people would do in America.

How would discovery work? I’ve been thinking about this for a bit now. I imagine a desktop app that syncs with every bookmarked thread, creates summarized lists of useful extractions (products lists, habits/activities, urls, locations etc.), and a ChatGPT like experience to for back and forth conversations.
