Space debris is a growing problem and the danger goes beyond direct hits. During a spacewalk you can see just how many times the Space Station has been hit by debris, which is especially problematic on the handrails. Spacewalkers are told to avoid touching any handrail that has visibly been struck because the uneven surface could easily tear a hole in your glove - creating a very serious situation. The threat of space debris is something we all agree on, but have yet figured out how to truly solve.

NASA revealed they found some of the building blocks of life in a sample brought back from an asteroid (on a @UArizona-led mission, by the way). It raises some big questions about whether there’s other life somewhere out there in the universe. According to my math, probably.
