सरकार ने 4PM जैसे नेशनल चैनल को बिना किसी कारण बंद करवाकर ये साफ़ कर दिया है कि उसे जनता के सवालों से डर लगता है। जो भी सत्ता से सवाल करेगा, उसकी आवाज़ ये सरकार बंद करा देगी – क्या यही है ‘लोकतंत्र’? मीडिया को दबाना मतलब जनता की आवाज़ को कुचलना है। लोकतंत्र सवाल और जवाबदेही से ही चलता है, तानाशाही से नहीं।

दिल्ली में सत्ता संभाले अभी दो महीने भी नहीं हुए और बीजेपी ने शिक्षा माफिया को खुला मैदान दे दिया है। हजारों माता-पिता आज अपने बच्चों के भविष्य को लेकर गहरी चिंता में हैं। बीजेपी ने प्राइवेट स्कूलों को बेलगाम कर दिया है। फीस बढ़ाने की खुली छूट दे दी गई है — और कुछ स्कूलों ने तो हद ही कर दी, 82% तक फीस बढ़ा दी है। जो अभिभावक ये बढ़ी हुई फीस नहीं दे पा रहे, उनके बच्चों को क्लास में घुसने तक नहीं दिया जा रहा। ये कैसा शासन है? ये किस तरह की सरकार है? भाजपा को शिक्षा से इतनी नफ़रत क्यों है? क्यों बार-बार बच्चों के भविष्य को कुचलने की साजिश रचती है? हमने पिछले 10 सालों में खून-पसीना बहा कर दिल्ली की शिक्षा व्यवस्था को सुधारा, प्राइवेट स्कूलों की मनमानी पर लगाम लगाई, हर बच्चे को गुणवत्तापूर्ण और मुफ्त शिक्षा का हक दिलाया। लेकिन बीजेपी सरकार आते ही इस पूरी व्यवस्था को तोड़ने-मिटाने पर उतारू हो गई है। पहले तो इन्होंने शिक्षा का बजट काटा — दिल्ली की सबसे शानदार, सबसे आधुनिक और सबसे जनकल्याणकारी शिक्षा व्यवस्था पर हमला किया। और अब, प्राइवेट स्कूल माफिया को खुली छूट देकर हजारों परिवारों की कमर तोड़ने पर आमादा हैं। ये सिर्फ फीस की लड़ाई नहीं है — ये देश के भविष्य की लड़ाई है।
