(before and after photos) In 2009, Pak Navy razed a large forested area to create the golf club so golfers would have a nice view of Faisal Masjid and the hills. 1/ I’m an overseas investor in the ARY Laguna DHA City Karachi project. I invested in good faith based on clear terms: 1,025 sq. ft., PKR 9.56M, delivery expected this year. I’ve already paid ~80%. 2/ I’ve now been told: • “Gross area” increased to 1,550 sq. ft. • Price increased to PKR 14.47M • Additional PKR 4.9M due immediately • Project delayed until 2027 3/ Here’s the issue: The actual usable apartment size has NOT increased. 4/ The developer has added common areas, circulation space & parking into “gross area” to justify a massive price hike—without increasing the real living space. 5/ These changes are being imposed AFTER most payments have already been made. Buyers are now being asked to sign an addendum to accept these new terms. 6/ This places a huge and unfair financial burden on investors, especially overseas Pakistanis who trusted the project and invested their savings. 7/ Serious questions arise: • Can developers change terms after taking 80% payment? • Where is consumer protection? • Who regulates such practices? 8/ I urge DHA Karachi and relevant authorities to investigate and protect buyers. 9/ If you’re an affected allottee, speak up. @DrAliMalik2 The same shit happens in DHA Multan. Where they have added extra 15 Lac in the name of development charges. And now getting emails that if I didn't pay they will cancel my file. Although at the time of purchase I have cleared every dues and development charges. @DHAMultan
