A large portion of Australia’s transgender community has experienced some form of sexual, emotional, or physical abuse, often perpetrated by men and enabled by weak laws that fail to properly prosecute offenders.
So why is the Coalition choosing to demonise the transgender community in the name of “women’s rights”, instead of advocating for stronger protections against the sexual, emotional, and physical abuse that cis women also disproportionately experience… again, largely at the hands of men?
I'm not attempting to say all men are bad, but there's an obvious problem that needs to be addressed -- So have the courage to address it rather than pissing on about a completely separate group. There are zero truthful stats to say transgender men/transgender women are more (or anywhere near as) violent than cisgender men.
There is a problem, but you're ignoring it.
I'm calling on the Coalition and groups all across this country to stand with the rights of women properly to build a safer Australia.

@RitaPanahi is playing her dutiful part for Rupert and Lachlan to ensure there is maximum hate towards the transgender community in Australia to desensitise the Australian public that it is ‘only common sense’ to start with the first ban on transgender people.
Given the draft legislation has been co-authored by the Australian Christian Lobby and their partners, they, @The_Nationals, are following the #ChristianNationalist, #MAGA playbook (written by the Heritage Foundation), which was extensively supported by the Fox News Network and other Murdoch outlets in the USA.
The narrative of ‘only common sense’ is dangerous because these issues require nuance, and they don’t like it at all. That is why these groups are against critical thinking. If they get away with this, it is a slippery slope to the full banning of health care for Australian transgender people, as we have seen in a significant number of states in the USA. The same applies to the 'common sense’ abortion access reduction being proposed in South Australia.

Trans women aren't demanding access to women's facilities because of the threat of physical violence in the men's toilets; their priority is to be "affirmed" as real women, which being present in the toilets of the opposite sex somehow achieves.
