@7NewsAustralia To reply to your comments on our previous post. C-17 flights are constantly flying there and back anyway routinely, just fill them up with our fellow Australians, bring them home, no extra cost on tax payer.

The Australian government has deployed 90 SAS soldiers to the Middle East amid concerns about potential regional escalation. Australian officials have stated the country will not participate in offensive action. #military #middleeast #defenceforce #sas #australia

The federal government is refusing to tell the Australian people if it's secretly deployed our most elite fighting soldiers to the war in the Middle East. It's sticking to a long-held tradition of keeping the movements of the SAS top secret. But that silence is raising serious questions.

If you want to leave the Middle East, don’t wait until it’s too late. If you remain, prioritise your safety. Monitor developments closely and follow local authorities’ advice, including any warnings to avoid areas deemed to be at high risk of targeting. smartraveller.gov.au/news-and-updat…

Statement on strikes on Al Minhad Air Base On the morning of 18 March 2026 (AEDT), an Iranian strike impacted an area at the Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, where the Australian Defence Force (ADF) has a long‑standing presence. No ADF personnel were injured in the incident, and all ADF personnel deployed to the Middle East are safe and accounted for. The strike resulted in minor damage to an accommodation block and medical facility in the Australian section of the base. Defence’s focus is on ensuring the safety and security of our people, and we will continue to revise force protection measures as the situation in the Middle East evolves. Dozens sleeping or attempting to sleep in bomb shelters and basements, airspace is closed, ambassador saying to her children air defence interceptors is “a good sound”, debris falling hundred metres close to missions. The situation has obviously escalated and is now dire. What more do you need? This is ridiculous and absurd. Lost for words. We need repatriation flights to Dubai and UAE and Gulf countries now to repatriate all 25,000 Australians back to Australia to safety. If this is the situation now, and it will only get worse. Please save our Australians before it’s too late. Repatriation flights to Gulf now. #BringAllAustraliansHomeNow 🇦🇺 @newscomauHQ @7NewsSydney @SkyNewsAust @9NewsMelb @10NewsAU @7NewsBrisbane @

The Australian Government has directed the departure of non-essential Australian officials posted to Israel and the UAE, due to the deteriorating security situation. Essential Australian officials will remain in-country to support Australians who need it.

Almost every government repatriated their citizens back to their countries to safety. United States: 32,000 Italy: 20,000 India: 57,000 24,000 Australians are left stranded in the middle of war by the Labor Government. We need repatriation flights sent to the UAE to bring home all 24,000 Australians now. No Australian should be left behind in a foreign war. #BringAllAustraliansHomeNow @Hon_PeterDutton @LiberalAus @skynewsaustr @RitaPanahi

We know this has been such a difficult time for many Australians in the Middle East. Since 28 February, more than 27,000 flights passing through the region have been cancelled, with an estimated 4.4 million airline seats removed from schedules.

“Commercial flights remain the fastest way for Australians to leave the Middle East at scale.” Please tell us that’s a joke?… The United States already rescued 32,000 of their own citizens from Dubai. Italy repatriated 20,000 of their citizens from the UAE. India repatriated 57,000 citizens from the Gulf countries back to safety in India. Yet 24,000 Australians remain stranded and abandoned by the Labour government in the middle of a war. We need repatriation flights now! Please send repatriation flights to Dubai, UAE, and Gulf countries to evacuate and bring home our Australians. No Australian should be left behind. 🇦🇺 Bring #AllAustraliansHomeNow @Hon_PeterDutton @LiberalAus @SkyNewsAust @RitaPanahi

Other nations and their governments are rescuing their citizens from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. India — 67,000 citizens brought home. United States — 32,000 Americans repatriated from Dubai, UAE. Italy — 20,000 citizens evacuated from Dubai, UAE. Emergency repatriation flights were organised. Planes were sent. Their people were brought home to safety. Australians are left stranded. Right now 24,000 Australians remain stranded in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and across the Gulf region in the midst of war. Commercial flights are collapsing. Airspace closures are happening without warning. Planes are turning back mid-air. Airports bombed. Across the region, missiles, drones, explosions as the war escalates. Families are living with fear and uncertainty. Parents trying to keep their children calm. Some people sleeping in garages and basements for safety. Other nations acted quickly to protect their citizens. Why hasn’t Australia? 24,000 Australians are trapped in a regional war. The Australian Government must act now. Send emergency repatriation flights to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region. Bring our Australians home. #AllAustraliansHomeNow 🇦🇺 @AlboMP @ausgov @SenatorWong @Hon_PeterDutton @theprojecttv @ACurrentAffair9 @7NewsSydney @chrishemsworth @10NewsAU @9NewsAUS @abcnews @SBSNews @Lisa_Wilkinson @RealHughJackman @smh @dailytelegraph @kyleandjackieo @PaulineHansonOz @AustralianLabor @LiberalAus @triplej @friendlyjordies @dfat @SkyNewsAust @RitaPanahi @tanya_plibersek @60Mins @David_Speers @Birmo @DavidPocock @theage @SBSNews @latingle @annabelcrabb @SharriMarkson @Kieran_Gilbert @PaulBongiorno @andrewprobyn @samanthamaiden @murpharoo @karlstefanovic @WaleedAly @Lisa_Wilkinson @russellcrowe

Urgent: There’s 24,000 stranded Australians in Dubai, UAE and Gulf countries that could’ve been repatriated back to safety in Australia by now. Italy has repatriated 20,000 of their citizens in less than a week. The war is escalating and we need to act now before it’s too late!
