@johnsearsleake Interesting topic. Discussions like this always make me think about how important solid research and verified information are when it comes to public health. What part of the interview stood out the most to you?

@KyleWBlackburn @BCM_Surgery Really insightful talk by Dr. Nowrouzi. I’m curious have you noticed any emerging techniques or approaches that significantly improve patient outcomes in these cases?

@EricBrakey @RoyalCaribbean @FreeStateNH A libertarian who does not keep apace with SCOTUS rulings that deal with personal freedoms does themselves a disservice. This practice was featured in a Reason article like five years ago or something.

I was detained by Border Patrol and Customs for 90 minutes coming back from a @RoyalCaribbean cruise today in Florida. After they rifled through all my belongings, read my personal journal, and confiscated my phone and computer, I had to explain to them that the @FreeStateNH is a non-violent, peaceful libertarian movement that builds community, culture and political change. We were invited to New Hampshire in the early 2000s by the Governor of the state. We reject violence as a path to creating change. In detail, I had to explain the nature of the Defend the Guard movement and assure them that I was not part of a violent extremist group seeking to raise a militia for insurrection against the government. At one point during my detention, I asked for clarification on what rights I had here as a U.S. citizen and was told that they did not need a warrant for anything in my possession, including all my electronic devices. They eventually let me go. Truth be told, I am shaken up and in shock right now.

@ehweitz That’s a really powerful point. What do you think causes the biggest misconception about medical malpractice cases?

Eric Weitz@ehweitz·
Medical malpractice cases aren’t filed lightly. They’re expensive, time-consuming, and up against massive systems, insurers, hospitals, and large medical groups. No lawyer is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a case with a 15% chance of success. These cases are vetted. They’re backed by evidence. And the idea that most of them are frivolous? That’s the real myth.

It’s regrettable but no one’s fault: no one’s been able yet to convey the scope and scale of what’s going on to the public. I think we need to get a team of creative minds to create a series that frames the problem as @mtaibbi does here and makes this clear visually.
Matt Taibbi@mtaibbi

One of my regrets about the Twitter Files is that I think we failed to convey the scale of the ideas being envisaged, like common international databases of speech offenders or the use of “content moderation” to re-shape the public’s understanding not just of news, but history.

It's a curious thing that the people who most hate America's ideas & institutions are the same people who demand the benefits provided by that system.

@AvaMcleen Yes, definitely. Her point concerns the nature of a mixed economy. If politicians have the power to dispense favors to some groups at the expense of others, all sorts of groups will lobby for favors.

Grok made a .pptx file based on my prompt. However, the file can not be accessed. I have asked for the hypertext link, as well as directly sending to my email or phone, as well as a file transfer service such as dropbox. Each time, Grok responds the file is ready to be downloaded, however, the files are not linked so there is no connection. Error 404 keeps coming up. Does anyone have a solution?
