This is Walker Smith. After dedicating 17 years to Waitrose, he was recently dismissed. The reason? For attempting to stop a shoplifter nicking Easter eggs. Yes you read that right. He should be applauded, not sacked. Shameful @waitrose. Re-employ Walker Smith!

I fully back the boycott of @waitrose if Walker Smith is not reinstated. We should all unite behind this man, who was simply doing his job and tried to stop a crime being committed. He did what the police are refusing to do.

These are some of the most horrendous allegations about the treatment of victims, that I’ve ever heard. Including one victim allegedly being called a ‘teenage pimp’ and branded a ‘paedophile’ by the CPS.

Yes. UK will have to pay to be part of EU single market for some products. But reset deal with EU estimated to boost economy by £9 billion a year..several times more than any cost. Real win would be rejoining whole single market - at least £90 billion. politico.eu/article/uk-eu-…
