@cjasonmaier Hate to be a downer but I’m sitting in Nigeria right now and I promise you there’s no CBDC plans here. It IS true that the gov is pushing more digital transactions, but that’s just standard electronic bank transactions. The necessary infrastructure for CBDCs is a LONG way off.

Nigeria is pushing a cbdc by limiting ATM withdrawals and Iran is threatening to freeze bank accounts of women that don’t dress the right way. At the same time “Bitcoin is used by criminals.” Yeah… like… maybe the good kind of “criminals”. 😔 Seriously grateful for Bitcoin

Market has shown Bitcoin should be thought of as a monetary debasement hedge, not necessarily a hedge against CPI inflation.
