This is something I am incredibly proud to announce and highlights the power of our partnership with the market leader in staking infra @Figment_io and world class exchange and custody provider Crypto.com. I genuinely believe this will grow into a multi-billion dollar line of yield products over the next 1-2 years and I'm incredibly excited to finally be able to tell the world about it after months of hard work across all three teams to get the first product built, tested, and brought to market. 1/ @buenbit, like many exchanges in Latin America, saw a rising demand for USD-denominated stablecoins such as USDC and USDT, along with the need for reliable low-risk returns on these stables. However, existing DeFi yield options present risks and operational challenges, while working directly banks and financial institutions brought added costs and complexity. Partnering with OpenTrade allows exchanges to overcome these hurdles and launch simple, scalable, and secure RWA-backed stablecoin yield products.

1/ The recently passed GENIUS Act marks a major regulatory shift: under Section 4(a)(11), stablecoin issuers like @circle ($USDC) or @tether ($USDT) are prohibited from passing on any form of yield to users. This echoes the stance taken by Europe’s MiCA regulation.
