As we expected Halpin will join the Guardians. Limited at bat role so added a guy who can handle 3 spots, bring speed and defense to the team.

Removing TPS status for Haitians living in the United States would cost 350,000 workers their ability to work at a time when we’re already facing serious workforce shortages. I’ve heard from healthcare providers and business leaders across Nebraska, including @OmahaChamber, who are concerned about the impact this would have on patient care and our economy. I don’t see the goodness of deporting people who are here legally, working, and contributing to our country.

@LockedGuardians Because he came up and absolutely shoved in 7 starts. I just wonder if the grading scales arent accurately gauging the type of value someone like Parker brings to the table. Pounds the zone with multiple pitches, tempo, consistently goes deep. He might end up our most valuable SP

@B_Suty Messick was in most top 100s this year. But sometimes a guy's stuff just plays better with a funky release point control and deception like Messick. Especially guys with changeups

Parker Messick has dominated in all three starts this year. And against two of the best offenses in baseball. Not bad for the "fifth" starter. 17.2 IP 11 H 1 ER 5 BB 16 K

@CovertheCorner @halborski I feel like that’s moreso because they want to get Rocchio/Arias all the reps before making the final decision to move on from one (or both). Getting Kwan back to LF and a more able CFer helps the team more.

I am encouraged that Jose took two walks tonight. Hits will start to fall and the offense will be fine if they keep up a good approach. So sorry for Arias. Curious if Brito gets the call, assuming Arias is in for an IL stint

@KenCarman Doesn’t walk people, good enough stuff, is always ahead in the count which forces hitters to swing at the pitches he wants them too. Refreshing palette cleanser compared to the rest of the staff who’s constantly on a tightrope of 2-1, 3-2 counts.

Is Messick the next Great One?

@B_Suty Both Arias and Schneemann are not good hitters, but Arias is a very good fielder at short. Give me Rocchio over Arias at SS and Bazzana at 2B, but Arias > Schnee at SS for me

Schneemann is a good utility player. He shouldn't be starting games more than like 40% of the time AT MOST.
