Today James Baldwin would have turned 99 ❤️ His answer to the question, “Why must you always concentrate on color?” is the best answer I’ve ever heard. Must watch.

If SCOTUS was serious about their ludicrous “colorblindness” claims, they would have abolished legacy admissions, aka affirmative action for the privileged. 70% of Harvard’s legacy applicants are white. SCOTUS didn’t touch that - which would have impacted them and their patrons.

I wanted to share some of my thoughts on today's Supreme Court decision on affirmative action:

“Republicans are so afraid of democracy that they want to disenfranchise predominantly Black voters who have been disenfranchised for as far back as when Black people were enslaved in the USA. This has nothing to do with election integrity. This is about racial control.”

If you stop to watch one thing today, let this be it.

@PeterVroom1 Say one thing for Trump. He had an eagle eye for spotting points where the system is vulnerable to corruption. Judicial appointments are one such point.
