#Ethiopian health workers launch campaign for fair pay, insurance; threaten strike over unmet demands Health professionals across Ethiopia have launched a social media campaign demanding fair compensation, health insurance, and better working conditions. Organizers told Addis Standard they are preparing to submit a formal letter with ten key demands and a 30-day deadline, warning that a strike could follow if their calls go unanswered. “The lack of acknowledgment, combined with the rising cost of living, prompted us to initiate a coordinated social media campaign,” one health professional told Addis Standard. “The question is solely a matter of rights, not a political one,” he stated. “The primary and foremost demand is that the income of health professionals is low relative to their workload and is not commensurate with the cost of living.” He added, “There have been instances where they cannot even afford medical treatment when they fall ill and are forced to beg.” Another practitioner said, “We are even struggling to eat twice a day. "እየመራን ያለው አሰቃቂና ሞራል ገዳይ የድህነት ሕይወት ለስራችን እንቅፋት እየሆነብን ነው"--- የጤና ባለሙያዎች - በ30 ቀን ምላሽ ካላገኙ እስከ ስራ ማቆም የሚደርስ እርምጃ እንደሚወስዱ አስታውቀዋል (መሠረት ሚድያ)- ለብዙ አመታት ተምረን እና ዋጋ ከፍለን ሕብረተሰባችንን በማገልገል ላይ የምንገኝ ቢሆንም እየመራን ያለው አሰቃቂና ሞራል ገዳይ የድህነት ሕይወት ለስራችን እንቅፋት እየሆነብን ነው በማለት በኢትዮጵያ የሚገኙ የጤና ባለሙያዎች ባወጡት የአቋም መግለጫ አስታውቀዋል። "ከባዱን የህክምና ትምህርት ሌት ተቀን ተግተን  በማጠናቀቅ ለብዙ ዓመታት ህዝባችንን ደከመን ሰለቸን ሳንል ስናገለግል ለልፋታችን ተገቢውን ክፍያም ሆነ ክብር አግኝተን ሳይሆን ለዚህ ያበቃንን የህዝብ አደራ እንዲሁም የሙያችን  ስነምግባር  ግድ ብሎን እንደሆነ ሊታወቅልን ይገባል" ያሉት የጤና ባለሙያዎቹ ሙያችን ከየትኛውም ሙያ ቢልቅ እንጂ የማያንስ ሆኖ ሳለ የጤና ባለሙያ በመሆናችን ብቻ አንገታችንን እንድንደፋ እና ከሰው በታች የሆነ ኑሮ  እንድንገፋ ተገድደናል ብለዋል። እንደምሳሌ ያቀረቡትም አንድ ሃኪም ከእኩዮቹ በተለየ ሁኔታ ሙሉ ጊዜውን ለትምህርት ሰውቶ ቢወጣም "በሙሰኛ" ባሏቸው ኃላፊዎች እና ብልሹ አሰራር ምክንያት በሚያሣዝን ሁኔታ ስራ የማግኘት ሕልሙ የተቀጨበት ጊዜ ላይ ደርሰናል ብለዋል። "በብዙ ፈተና ስራ ላይ የተሰማራ ባለሙያም መሰረታዊ ፍላጎቱን ማለትም ምግብ ልብስና መጠለያ ለማሟላት የማይበቃ ደሞዝ ይዞ የሰራበትን ትርፍ ሰዓት ክፍያ ለመጠየቅ ልመና መውጣቱ ኑሮውን ሲኦል አድርጎበታል። ሰው በጥረቱ እና በከፈለው መስዋትነት ልክ ሊካስ ሲገባው በሀገራችን ግን መታከሚያ አጥቶ ህይወቱ የሚያልፈውን የጤና ባለሙያን ቁጥር ሳይጨምር በተስፋ ማጣት እና ድባቴ ውስጥ ሆኖ ራሱን ስለሚያጠፋ ሀኪም ዜና መስማት የተለመደ  ሆኗል" በማለት ሁኔታውን አስረድተዋል። የጤና ሚኒስቴር ጉዳዩን "ጆሮ ዳባ ልበስ" በማለቱ የተቹት ባለሙያዎቹ ሚንስቴር ቢሮው አሁንም በግልፅ የሚታየውን "አሰቃቂ" ያሉትን እና ከየትኛውም የአለም ክፍል የጤና ባለሙያ የወረደ ኑሮ እንድንመራ የተደረግንበትን ሁኔታ በድጋሚ ትኩረት ሰጥቶ እንዲመለከት ጠይቀዋል። የጤና ሚንስቴር ለጥያቄዎቻቸው ፈጣን ምላሽ እንዲሰጣቸው የጠየቁት ባለሙያዎቹ በ 30 ቀን ምላሽ ካላገኙ እስከ ስራ ማቆም የሚደርስ እርምጃን ለመውሰድ ዝተዋል። በዚህ ዙርያ ከጤና ሚኒስቴር ምላሽ ለማግኘት ያደረግነው አልተሳካም፣ ተጨማሪ መረጃ ካገኘን እንመለስበታለን። መረጃን ከመሠረት!
