Interesting, but sources like Merriam-Webster disagrees. “Believe” isn’t defined as “accepting evidence.” It’s defined as accepting something as true, and specifically includes “to have a firm or wholehearted religious conviction… to regard the existence of God or a deity as a fact.” So you’re presenting a philosophy of belief, not the meaning of the word. I hold the belief that Christ is Lord. You hold the belief that He isn’t. We both believe what we find convincing; we simply apply different standards for what convinces us. Free choice is a big part of my religion and we all make ours.
