No question CPUC is completely captured by the companies it is supposed to oversee and needs to be scrapped. Argue for that, but don't blame the Gov.

@NikkiMedoro @GavinNewsom @CAgovernor @californiapuc This isn't up to the Governor. It is the California Public Utilities Commission which makes these decisions. It is independent from the legislature or the Governor's office. There is no question that CPUC has been captured by the industries it is supposed to regulate. .

@TamarHaspel I don't consider my chiropractor useless. Plenty of people with back problems get a lot of relief. You're also throwing in cough and cold medicine, which makes no sense. Being able to breath when you have a cold is rather helpful.

A high pressure system is bringing warmer air over the Bay Area. While temps in SF are expected to stay in the 70s today, it could be the start of a new pattern of hotter air. We learned that even a slight change in where the high pressure system sets up could bring deadly heat.

@BrokeAssStuart Come on. I live near the park. It was chaos! Gunshots, trashed MUNI trains, fires in the park from fireworks. You try sleeping at night terrified that some dip is going to land an M80 on your roof and burn your apartment down.

@DeanPreston Supervisor Preston. Perhaps you should pay attention to your own district. Stop telling us how "traumatized" the kids were. How about those of us who live near the park in D8 who had to stay indoors while gunfire erupted and feared that our homes would be torched by fireworks.

@SFPD Thank you for carrying out this action. As someone who lives near the park it was clear things were out of control. Powerful, illegal fireworks were going off constantly since July 4th, threatening to spark structure fires.
