The Pacific Northwest doesn’t forget.
It buries evidence.
Along the coasts of Washington and Oregon, scientists keep finding thin bands of ocean sand inside freshwater marsh.
Miles from the shoreline.
They show up where they shouldn’t… then show up again.
Each layer marks a moment the Pacific moved inland in minutes.
Tsunamis.
Between those layers are roots, peat, and soil…. years of quiet life.
Then another band of sand.
In some places, the pattern repeats again and again. A coastline living normally… then erased.
At the same time, entire forests dropped suddenly below sea level. Cedar and spruce killed where they stood. Still there today… gray trunks rising out of tidal flats.
They drowned.
Because during a full Cascadia Subduction Zone rupture, parts of the coast can drop several feet almost instantly and the ocean follows.
In past events, water has pushed miles inland. Fast enough to leave debris tangled high in tree lines and saltwater buried deep in the soil. No warning.
No time to run.
Indigenous accounts describe nights where the ground shook and the ocean came in fast, swallowing villages.
Those stories weren’t metaphor. The ground says the same thing. The last full rupture was January 1700.
Every buried layer before it says the same thing: This isn’t a rare disaster. It’s a repeating one.
So the real question isn’t if it happens again… it’s how close we are right now.

The Afroman Trial.
-Cops raid Afromans house for bullshit reasons.
-Steal money, break his door, fuck his house up.
-No criminality found whatsoever, no charges at all pressed on Afroman.
-Afroman spends the next 3 years making songs that make fun of all the officers involved by name, even using footage of the raid from his own CCTV cameras.
-Songs had titles like "Randy Walters is a son of a bitch" and "Lick Em Low Lisa" accusing one of the officers of being a lesbian and sleeping with the other officers wives.
-During the raid one officer looked like he was about to eat some lemon pound cake sitting on Afromans counter, Afroman made a whole album calling the officer fat.
-The cops get mad and file a lawsuit for defamation.
-Afroman turns up to court in a whole American flag suit.
-Officers performatively mald and cry while listening to the songs really trying to oversell how badly the songs upset them.
-One officer was suing because Afroman made a whole song about him saying he was fucking the officers wife. When the officer was asked if Afroman was really fucking his wife, he said "I don't know". Nuking his own case and establishing that there is a non-zero chance that Afroman might actually be fucking his wife.
-As his only witness for the trial, Afroman brought a deputies EX FUCKING WIFE.
-The jury ruled completely in favour of Afroman.
This entire thing has been a great win for free speech and absolutely fucking hilarious.

NEW: 500 pound man hoisted out of a 15 foot hole on a construction site in Pomona, California. The man was not a construction worker and somehow ended up in the hole, according to ABC 7. LACoFD's Heavy Rescue unit was eventually able to hoist the man out before he was rushed to the hospital. It’s unclear if he suffered any injuries.

One of my biggest losses was from someone I thought was a friend who got me into a penny stock 🤣 It’s on me for buying it, but most penny people are scam artists hoping to pump for a bit & then they leave you holding the bag. Do not make my newbie mistake.

From June 1992 to March 2000 my account went in one direction 🔼. I had no clue about bear markets, macro economics or inter-market analysis. Inflation-adjusted I paid $190,524 in tuition to Wall Street from March 2000 to Oct 2002. 🔽 That cost has since paid great dividends. 💯
