Yesterday morning something terrible happened in Brighton. The bodies of three women were recovered from the sea. They have now been identified and their next of kin's notified of the horrific news. Sussex Police have asked people not to speculate on the cause but unfortunately high profile accounts on this site have done just that.

*Starred* Kirkus review of my new book, The Anatomy of Deception: Conspiracy Theories, Distrust, and Public Health in America. This is an amazing honor! I hope this book helps advance the national conversation around trust in health and medicine.

127 years after the very first Arden Shakespeare play published in 1899, a new generation of editions begins today.
The first 2 plays - Titus Andronicus and Julius Caesar - are out now 🎉

Help please @foliosociety peebs... I know that these Sherlock short stories, exist in a gold coloured version with a 4 volume set alongside in gold, made up of the novels - it has Watson across the spines.
Is it possible that the red version of the novels, were never published?

I wonder why this @BBCTimWhewell-presented episode of BBC Radio 4's "Crossing Continents" about Nadia Marcinko as billed in the Radio Times for 5 May was replaced with an episode about Serbia instead.

Lois Perry on Polish politician banned from Tommy Robinson rally : spoke "with Nigel Farage this morning about this matter because I knew he'd appeared on the show. He said he was a good friend and knew him from his time in the European Parliament" (2.13) youtube.com/watch?v=a9GzwM…

@Dplanet Any word from Nigel Farage? Lois Perry has told a Polish TV station that she had spoken with Farage about the ban and that Farage had told her Dominik Tarczyński was his "good friend", but that seems to be about it so far. x.com/Barthsnotes/st…

🚨🇬🇧 The UK has refused entry to Joey Mannarino, Valentina Gomez, Eva Vlaardingerbroek, Ada Lluch. Easy calls. Cartoonish anti-Muslim influencers with thin résumés.
It has now refused Dominik Tarczyński MEP.
Polish lawyer. Sitting Member of the European Parliament. Eight years at Westminster Cathedral in London. Fluent English. Calm voice. The polish is what makes him dangerous.
Tarczyński has a law degree from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. MEP since 2020. Re-elected in 2024 with 210,942 personal votes. Sits on the Committee on Legal Affairs. He doesn’t use slurs. He doesn’t call for violence. He stays inside the language of sovereignty, law, and Christian civilisation.
Tommy Robinson needs a credible face. Tarczyński provides it.
Channel 4 News, 2018. Cathy Newman asks Tarczyński how many refugees Poland has taken. He says: zero. His defence, then and since: “We took two million Ukrainians.” The category being protected is not legality. Not capacity. Not integration. Two million white Christians, fine. Not even one Muslim. He has said this on Channel 4, on GB News, on Heretics with Andrew Gold, on a London stage at the September 2025 Unite the Kingdom rally. The line is the brand.
On Heretics he was given the chance to back away from the word “invasion.” He chose to defend it definitionally. Great Replacement framing in the register of a lawyer.
At UTK in September 2025, from the stage, in front of an estimated 150,000 people, he endorsed “remigration.” Not “deport illegal arrivals.” Remigration - a term originating with Identitarian movements in Austria and France, referring to the mass removal of legal residents and citizens of migrant background. He picked the technical vocabulary deliberately.
He now says he will sue Sir Keir Starmer “personally” for the UK’s refusal of entry. This is the man ordered by the Warsaw Court of Appeal on 20 December 2024 to publicly apologise, in his own name, for falsely accusing the Open Dialogue Foundation of laundering Russian money. He posted the court-ordered apology to X just before midnight on a Friday holiday. He still hadn’t paid the damages months later. A convicted defamer threatening defamation law.
January 2026. An ICE agent fatally shoots Renée Nicole Good - a 37-year-old American citizen, mother of three, a legal observer of federal actions in her own Minneapolis neighbourhood. Tarczyński publicly praised the agents. A sitting MEP applauded armed agents of a foreign state for killing an unarmed civilian on her own street.
In 2020, he personally filed a prosecutorial notification against the singer of Polish death metal band Behemoth. The charge: offending religious feelings. A Polish offence carrying up to two years’ imprisonment. The alleged offence: waving a stage prop in a video. The free-speech martyr who uses state machinery to criminalise artistic expression he doesn’t like.
Early May 2026. Paris. A closed-door meeting under the “Make Europe Great Again” banner. Filip Dewinter. Alice Cordier. Anna Nguyen of the AfD. Tommy Robinson, keynote. The 16 May London rally was coordinated at that table. Tarczyński is not a thoughtful conservative who happened to be invited to speak in London. He is part of a continental coordination network. Robinson is the British franchise.
He calls Starmer a “communist” for the refusal. Janusz Korwin-Mikke was refused UK entry in 2022, under a Conservative government. Rafał Ziemkiewicz, 2021. Jacek Międlar, banned. The “tyranny” framing was rehearsed across the MEGA network before the bans started landing.
Strip away the suit and the case law and what Tarczyński actually says is what Joey Mannarino actually says. He just says it more quietly, in better English, from a parliamentary seat.
The ban tracks what he says, and the stage he chose to say it on. Don’t let the suit, the education,or the lack of criminal convictions fool you, Tarczyński is Muslim-hating extremist.

Harassers will often claim their victims suffer from mental illness as a slur to try to belittle them. This tactic not only serves as an attempt to gaslight and further abuse their targets, but it also stigmatizes mental illness and reflects the mental health illiteracy of the harassers.
Ironically, these harassers often have no background in mental health and aren’t qualified to diagnose—and worse, some of them even hypocritically try to participate in anti-science movements and outright deny the existence of mental illness when it suits them. Morally bankrupt behavior. 👍

🚨 Ben Habib claims Tommy Robinson’s contempt of court case was “just a civil case” that was politically elevated into a criminal matter.
That is highly misleading.
The original libel case related to Tommy lying about a Syrian schoolboy being a violent sex offender WAS civil.
But contempt of court proceedings can lead to imprisonment when someone deliberately breaches court orders - especially repeat offenders (like Tommy).
The issue was not whether the Syrian schoolboy allegations were being retried.
The issue was that Robinson had already agreed to legal undertakings and court orders, then allegedly republished the allegations anyway through his film "Silenced" and interviews.
Courts already have long-established powers to jail people for serious contempt. This was not some special political mechanism invented for Tommy Robinson.
Habib takes the fact the original case was civil and uses it to imply the later imprisonment was politically manufactured, which is rubbish.

I am deleting this tweet because the anti vaxxers make any discussion impossible. We do need to be aware of plastics & forever chemicals but clearly it impossible to raise these issue on X without being bombarded by references to sheep, waking up, at last etc.etc
Kirstie Allsopp@KirstieMAllsopp
I’ve read two articles in just one day on worrying levels of cancer in younger people. We have to start asking very serious questions about hormone disrupting chemicals and plastics in our environment. How many things do we bombard ourselves with that are totally unnecessary?

@DanNeidle Anyone can "urge" the police to do anything, and in this instance there isn't even any direct contact (Barratt is urging "City Hall authorities" to report him). Ludicrously lame basis for such a headline.
