Copper isn’t just an industrial metal anymore—it’s becoming a national security priority. As the U.S. pushes for mineral independence, one question matters: who controls the resources that power the future? 🔔 Subscribe for more videos  yt.everydayspy.com/4qXaRuj

Thank you, @SecretaryBurgum for your testimony today before House Natural Resources. Alaska is central to America’s energy future and under the leadership at @Interior, Alaska is seeing opportunities finally unlocked for resource development, infrastructure, and energy production. Alaskans are grateful for this Administration’s support for Alaska as we work to support America’s energy and mineral independence.

Please take a hard look at the biggest green slush fund of them all, the National Resource Defense Council. They have been holding up domestic mines such as the pebble mine while implicitly supporting foreign mines by remaining silent. They hail China as a good steward of the environment! They are working together with the intervenors in the pebble mine vs EPA case in Alaska, on your watch!

When copper prices rise, electricity bills get more expensive. Securing our domestic copper supply means lower costs for manufacturers, projects and American families.

President Trump’s deregulatory efforts will save Americans trillions in regulatory costs. At EPA alone, we are in the middle of doing more deregulation in one year at one agency than has ever been done across ALL federal agencies throughout ENTIRE presidencies. As the President says, the U.S. is the hottest country in the world, with investment pouring in and groundbreakings taking place across America in large part due to the regulatory relief we have accomplished over the last 15 months. And we are just getting started!

.@POTUS: "We’re getting rid of 129 nonsense regulations for every new one that we pass, and thanks to these pro-growth policies, our economy is roaring, and factory construction is way up... business investment is more than triple compared to that of just a short time ago."

Something important happened on April 27 that every NAK investor needs to understand. President Trump signed H.J. Res 140 permanently overturning Biden's preemptive mining ban on the Twin Metals copper nickel project in Minnesota. Here is why that matters for Pebble Mine specifically. Biden used a preemptive Bureau of Land Management mineral withdrawal to block Twin Metals before the permitting process was completed. Congress reversed it permanently 51 to 48 using the Congressional Review Act. A future president cannot bring it back. That is now settled law. Biden used a preemptive administrative veto under Section 404c of the Clean Water Act to block Pebble Mine before the permitting process was completed. The mechanism is different. But the strategy was identical. Use executive branch administrative tools to preemptively block critical minerals development before science and process can speak. The Trump administration is systematically dismantling that strategy on every front simultaneously. In the courts. Oral argument June 25 before Judge Gleason in Anchorage. The legal arguments against the Pebble veto are strong and documented. In the regulatory arena. A new WOTUS rule is being finalized that will make the jurisdictional foundation of the veto legally indefensible. In Congress. The SPEED Act and PERMIT Act passed the House and are advancing in the Senate. Both contain provisions directly affecting EPA's preemptive veto authority. And now legislatively through the CRA. Congress just demonstrated it has the votes and the will to permanently reverse Biden era critical minerals obstruction when it chooses to use that tool. The National Mining Association said it clearly after Monday's signing. Projects like Twin Metals now have a clearer path forward highlighting the role of US resources in supporting advanced minerals needed for energy technology and national security. Pebble Mine is the largest undeveloped copper deposit in the world. 57 billion pounds of copper. On Alaska state land. In a country that has declared critical minerals a national security priority. The tools are in play. The direction is clear. The momentum is real. As I said on Friday. Pro-business governments do not leave a trillion dollars worth of critical minerals in the ground. Full stop. Every angle is covered. Stay locked in! 🇺🇸🏔️ #NAKNation #PebbleMine #TwinMetals #CriticalMinerals #NorthernDynasty #HJRes140 #PermittingReform #AlaskaComeback #CopperDemand #SPEEDAct #OralArgument

The lifting of the Minnesota mining ban marks a significant shift for domestic mineral development, reopening access to a resource-rich region with major implications for supply chains. Projects like @TwinMetalsMN now have a clearer path forward, highlighting the role of U.S. resources in supporting advanced minerals needed for energy, technology and national security. For magnets, chips, batteries, and more, the US is rich in the required critical minerals and rare earth resources. From extraction through processing, it is crucial for our national security and economy to tap into these abundant domestic supplies, which we can do so much better for our environment than so many other countries elsewhere around the world.

"Copper supply is a global story where the U.S. has a major role to play. In 1990, the U.S. Copper production represented 18% of global mined production and 19% of global refined production. Now the picture is starkly different, 4% and 3% respectively." -@DanielYergin, @SPGlobal Vice Chairman

Mining built the world we live in today. The next phase of economic growth will demand unprecedented levels of mineral development. That’s why responsible mining is critical for the United States. Resource development is paramount, and it should happen under the strongest environmental standards. That’s why we must fully develop America’s mineral potential - it’s the responsible thing to do.
