Guys, I know this will attract trolls, but I’m actually genuinely asking. My 86yo father who is not in great health wants to go to Orlando to see his 84yo brother who is in really bad health, probably for the last time. A multi-day road trip would be too much wear and tear for my dad. I cannot afford private flying. Anybody got recommendations on navigating an 86yo through multiple airports when he can’t walk great? Like, how do people get the wheel chair assistance and can they wheel him through to a rental car etc? And how do you handle an intermediate airport a we’d probably have to go Baton Rouge to Atlanta to Orlando. Never done this and old age can suck. And yes, this would be a reunion between Erick and Lief Erickson. May the Vikings rise again.

Her excuse was that her daughter has autism and might struggle with the intetrview. 1) Why so little trust in her? Why not try? 2) If it’s seriously that bad, maybe reconsider nursing, a career where you have to read emotions and adjust your attitude accordingly and communication, both verbal and nonverbal, are massive.

I just had the worst discussion on Facebook (of course) with a homeschool mom about nursing school for her daughter. Seriously, I know a lot about both. I was homeschooled and I went to nursing school. She asked questions, I answered, it wasn’t what she wanted to hear, she made that clear. Why do I even go to that trash site?

It wasn’t even controversial. She said her daughter has to either wait an extra year to start community college or start university immediately. Cost isn’t an issue. I said university 10/10 and gave my experience- graduated a year earlier than my cousin because she decided to wait for a CC spot. This lady gave me ALL the excuses, none of which were valid. And another lady who’s not a nurse (lOtS oF fAMiLy) who said don’t bother with a BSN. The OP said thanks for the good advice. It’s terrible advice, actually.
