@EWErickson Here’s where we are: if a man says he’s a woman, women must agree with him. Why? Because THE MAN SAYS SO. Then they must SUBMIT.

@farmingandJesus Fortunately most Muslims are as lukewarm about their book as Christians are about the Bible. If there is ever a Muslim “revival” and they start to take “death to the infidel” literally…

@farmingandJesus I will add 1 cor 7:14 “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.” So if one parent is in Christ their young ones are redeemed.

How do we know young babies , abortions, miscarried babies go to heaven? How do we know this. We really don’t do we? The Bible doesn’t talk about age of accountability, where did we get that? I’m asking for reals

@AllAmerican202 With the minimalist prom styles these days, you could cut up just one of these 1985 dresses and dress an entire senior class.

Something I did not expect to see in that WaPo poll of Virginia: The highest propensity voters are a "no" on the referendum.

So what do the flat earthers and the people who think we've never been to the moon say now? How are they rationalizing so they don't have to admit they were wrong?

It was on March 30, 1981 when Secret Service Agent Tim McCarthy put his life on the line to save President Ronald Reagan. As shots rang out just feet from the president, McCarthy instinctively stepped in front of Mr. Reagan to try and protect him from an assassin’s bullet. He later said, “I did what I did based upon training, not anything else.” Indeed, training guides your body before your mind in a crisis — that’s why instincts and reps matter. Tim McCarthy was wounded — and so was Ronald Reagan. But the bullet he took could have been one that killed the leader of the free world. Tim’s heroism demonstrated that while you can’t control every outcome, you can control how prepared you are when a crisis comes. Tim McCarthy is now 76 years-old, retired from the Secret Service — and retired from his role as Chief of Police for the Orland Park, Florida PD.

I'd put my money on #3. It's fairly simple to understand, and it's less of a sensory overload (unlike #1). "Up to" provides the understanding that the hail could be that large, without giving the expectation that it will be. Since most areas won't see the high-end of their forecast, less trust will be eroded.

This is a good first practical step toward ending the SOTU. Whole opposition should skip the speech, realistic given today's environment. GOP should continue the tradition next time Democrats are in the White House. Soon enough ratings will crater, networks will stop carrying live, bada bing bada boom.

I saw Airplane when I was a senior in high school and thought it was the funniest movie I’d ever seen. My date, however, did not agree. In fact, she didn't laugh at all. Not even once. Not even when the Japanese soldier stabbed himself to death in the window seat, rather than listen to Ted Striker drone on and on about his broken heart. When the credits rolled, she looked at me like I was an alien. “What’s the matter with you?” she asked. “How was any of that funny?” In her defense, there were others in the theater who didn’t get it, several of whom left early. But there were many others like me who not only laughed themselves sick but stayed to watch it again. So, my date left me in the theater and spent the next two hours shopping in the mall, while I laughed even harder the second time around. “Tell me Johnny, have you ever seen a grown man naked?” "Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!” "Pardon me Stewardess, I speak Jive." And this gem, perhaps the greatest exchange in the history of cinema, between two very sophisticated ten-year old Caucasians dressed like adults. Boy: Coffee? Girl: Yes, please. Boy: Cream? Girl: No, I take it black....Like my men. Later, in the food court, I bought my date a Coke and a slice of pizza, but it was too late. The damage had been done. “I can’t believe you’d rather sit there alone and watch that stupid movie again instead of spending time with me. "Surely," she said, “you not that much of an idiot.” “Don’t be too sure,” I said. “And don't call me Shirley.” That was our last date, obviously, thanks to @TheDavidZucker, the man who wrote and directed this ridiculously silly film along with Jim Abrams and Jerry Zucker. Since its release, Airplane! is now considered one of the greatest comedy films ever made, inspiring numerous references, homages, and further parodies in popular culture. In fact, in 2010, Airplane! was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant," proving once and for all that my date had no sense of humor. What an honor to meet interview David Zucker, 46 years later. And what a relief to learn that he can still make me laugh... Our whole conversation is here. bit.ly/TWIHI471DavidZ…

@KevG163 This was in waning days of the inept Carter administration. High interest rates, high inflation, cowering to the Soviet Union. Truly demoralized America. This team of amateurs beating the highly paid professional Reds stated “America is back” and 10 months later elected Reagan.
