Built a tactical turn-based RPG with Codex + GPT-5.4, using Playwright for testing and image-gen for the visuals. I grew up loving turn-based RPGs, so this was a fun one to build. Sharing a 45s demo below — it’s also featured in the @OpenAI GPT-5.4 blog post for anyone who wants more context. openai.com/index/introduc…

Today is my first day at @OpenAI! I'm joining the Codex team. I'll be splitting my time between building the Codex app and working with developers/entrepreneurs to help them make the most of Codex. As a @YCombinator alum, I'm really looking forward to working with early-stage startups and couldn't be more energized about OpenAI's $2M investment in new YC startups. Despite OpenAI being the largest company I've been part of, it certainly feels like @sama, @gdb and the whole Codex team are in founder mode. I've never seen another startup move as fast as this team does. I'm truly honored to be joining such a brilliant team. As always, it's all about the people... so I'd like to thank @romainhuet, @dkundel, @coreyching, @ajambrosino, @embirico, @thsottiaux, and the rest of the Codex team for their trust. And thanks to @pankaj, @gilad, and @willhorn for believing in me, bringing me back to Silicon Valley after almost ten years, and giving me the opportunity to learn about AI.

@dkundel The ship to retweet ratio does not make sense. Why are people not losing their noodles over these drops. Huge painpoints solved. 🛳️

@haegwankim @OpenAIDevs Yes - in codex app or CLI users can paste in a GitHub url to add your codex plugin to their personal / local marketplace. More to come here.

@OpenAIDevs Nice seeing the way folks are using and building plugins. We’re focusing on making them easier to share, use, and discover. More to come!

Share plugins in Codex across teams. Teams can now distribute custom plugins, reuse internal tools, and manage what’s available across their workspace. Available now to Business users. Enterprises can reach out to enable early access.

It’s Codex Thursday, and yes, we have updates for you. First up: Appshots, a new way to bring the context of what you’re working on into Codex. On your Mac, press Command-Command to attach your app window to a Codex thread. Codex gets both a screenshot and text from the window, including content beyond what’s visible onscreen. Appshots are available across plans on Mac, with enterprise access coming soon.

At @nvidia today, spending time with Codex users and exploring enterprise use cases. I’ll be leading a few sessions on Codex Plugins and where the ecosystem is headed. Excited to learn from NVIDIANs and see where @trekedge and @inferencetoken have been doing great work over the past month.

@coreyching @ibaklanov @OpenAIDevs @Zoom Can we get it so it can add attachments? Codex tolf me.the current connector doesn't allow for sending emails with attachments which makes some automation hard (like generating html.dashboards and sending them out)

New Plugin: @Zoom is now available in Codex. Pull in a meeting transcript, ask Codex what happened, and turn the call into follow-up notes or next steps. What should we add next?

@labibrahman @jxnlco The slack connector had a recent issue with it that’s being fixed. This is not the norm for slack or other plugins. Thanks for the patience we are aware of this

@coreyching @jxnlco if I go to plugins and "Install Slack" plugin complete all the OAuth steps come back to Codex and it says "Finishing slack setup" then "Slack is connected" presumably I should not now get a "UNAUTHORIZED: ReuauthenticationRequired:401"

@jxnlco plugin auth workflows need a lot of work in Codex Desktop, at the bare minimum there needs to be a test auth/re-auth loop because the OAuth with Google Workspace and Slack is not landing on the first attempt

@ibaklanov @OpenAIDevs @Zoom The current Outlook Email plugin is already read+write and does support draft prep: saved new-message drafts, reply drafts, and forward drafts. It can also send, reply, forward, schedule, and organize messages via the underlying connector

@coreyching @OpenAIDevs @Zoom That’s awesome! I had to call “Claude -p” for this previously 🤣 Can you create a read+write plugin for Microsoft Outlook to automate email drafts preparation (current one can only read and Computer Use stumbles a lot in MS UI)
