The US demographic situation is getting worse:
The total fertility rate fell to 1.57 births per woman in 2025, the lowest since the data began in the 1930s.
A rate below 2.1 births per woman means a population is no longer replacing itself and is shrinking when excluding immigration.
The fertility rate has been effectively below 2.1 births per woman since the 1970s.
Furthermore, the general fertility rate, measured as births per 1,000 women aged 15 to 44, fell to 53.1 in 2025, an all-time low, continuing a decline that began in 2007.
Additionally, birthrates for women in their late 30s exceeded those for women in their early 20s for the first time on record in 2025.
America is heading into a demographic crisis.

@BillAckman@NYCMayor So who in your family has stepped up to fight the Iranian regime? Did you enlist? Are your kids serving on the frontlines? Did your taxes go up to
cover the costs of this war? Just curious what you sacrifice.
Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war. Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis. They want peace.
I am focused on making sure that every New Yorker is safe. I have been in contact with our Police Commissioner and emergency management officials. We are taking proactive steps, including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive locations out of an abundance of caution.
Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city — you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here.
This is absolutely insane:
Inflation in the US just unexpectedly posted one of the largest monthly declines since 2023.
While a +10 basis point increase in inflation was expected, it actually FELL by -40 basis points.
This puts Core CPI inflation in the US at its lowest level since March 2021.
According to this data, inflation is now at its closest point to the Fed's 2% target since the pandemic.
2026 is going to be a wild year.

@stoolpresidente I feel like btc has held up relatively well so far. We would normally see huge swings in a time like this. Behaving closer to gold imo
I have a dumb bitcoin/crypto question. If the point of Bitcoin is to be independent of the US Dollar and non regulated why does it basically trade exactly like the Us stock market nowadays? Market up bitcoin up. Market down bitcoin down.
Dumped XRP position today at $2.71.
I genuinely hope the XRP army gets stupid rich, I don't think you will, but my best hopium is out to each of you.
For anyone wanting to understand my decision, its very simply, my 40 yrs of experience has taught me certain lessons that I don't violate;
Rule one; if I cannot understand the supply/demand dynamics, unless I have an serious edge, do not get involved,
Rule two; if others cannot explain it in a very understandable way, and or cannot draw it on a whiteboard, don't do it,
Rule three, avoid people who know the price of everything, but the value of nothing,
Rule four; never confuse short term noise with a long term investment/plan/goal
Rule five; great wealth is made by highly consolidated bets and investments that are made over long periods of time,
Rule six; never follow the crowd, NEVER! (SHOULD BE RULE 1)
@DineshDSouza Honestly this isn’t that big, because we are the only country that can see it. When other countries recognize the change that will be significant.
To write a whole article and sum the list up
“Trump said a report on its “tremendous fraud” is forthcoming and released a list of projects funded by the agency, including efforts to support diversity and inclusion, and examples of projects that had unintended and problematic consequences, including agriculture work that wound up supporting poppy farming in Afghanistan.”
@CNBC is a disgrace and I hope it burns to the ground.
