I melted the @tesla-made CCS1-to-NACS adapter I was using when I charged the new @Rivian R2 a few weeks ago.

Drop off a $127k @Rivian R1T Gen 2 QUAD for service & come home in a base $24k @Toyota Corolla from @Enterprise no loaners available. Enterprise employee told me I was their first Rivian loaner rental in weeks. My luck continues to be bad or Rivian doesn’t like me. 😂🤣

@OutofSpecDetail I couldn't agree more with your take!! I just want the car to be predictable stay in its Lane and go a speed that I've determined. Fsd constantly making bad lane changes and changing speeds is so annoying on the highway. It's still a great system in the city but AP for hwy imo

This might be the funniest comment section I’ve ever read. Believe me I absolutely love my Model 3 Performance and really appreciate the breadth of capabilities FSD offers but doesn’t mean it’s perfect.
There is no doubt FSD is leagues above everything else… But for my needs our EV9 HDA is fantastic.
It’s crazy how you can appreciate things from each automaker, not just one.

Hot Take: most people don’t actually want FSD, all people really want is a great highway drive assist. We just did 1000 miles in our EV9 yesterday using Kia’s HDA 2 for 95% of the interstate driving. It’s so nice to be able to control the exact speed I want to go, follow in a distance I want to follow, and be in the lane I want to be in without an arbitrary profile telling me what it wants to do.

@itskyleconner In theory, it's great for towing, but the scout with harvester has a lower towing rating than the BEV version. Will be curious to see how it plays out

@SNRetired @Out_of_Spec @itskyleconner There is much more to a car than spec. Many people are willing to pay for extreme levels of customization and better dynamics. But for a normal person model Y is insane value.

Weather was 98° and then I drove up a mountain and changed at the top. Pack was nice and toasty which seems to be the best case for these older cars. It's a trade off though because you get more peak but hit thermal limits sooner. Just have to optimize for the charge you want

Loving the new @RivianRoamer battery temperature log. Great feature and a cool way to see the logic of battery cooling on AC versus DC charge. You can see how going from 5 to 9.6kw increases temp rise in the pack noticeably here.

Really impressive first few drives with FSD v14 lite! Big leap in capability and feature set from v12.6.4, it’s tuned for safety right now so it’s taking things slow and smoothly. Highway performance was notably great. More videos and a very long form review later once I get a few more hours of driving in.
