The APC party made it clear in the tripartite recommendations that "They've called for a re-run election" as 71% of the RRF forms made it clear that Dr. Samura Kamara had 57.15% of the total votes cast. This is what you need to know about the deployment of ECOWAS troops in Sierra Leone. Let me take this opportunity to express my displeasure with the fact that we cannot even conduct free & fair elections or govern ourselves like civilized human beings and this failure of ours has necessitated the deployment of foreign troops in Sierra Leone. Now, that ECOWAS troops are coming it has it upsides and downsides. Key amongst the downsides is that the rate of promiscuity (prostitution) amongst some of our Sierra Leonean women is going to exponentially increase due to the level of abject poverty in Sierra Leone at this moment. Our young girls as well as grown women are going to fall prey into the hands of these foreigners all for the love of money. There is enough empirical evidence of the last deployment of ECOMOG troops back in 1999 to show how marriages were destroyed which shattered families. A lot of girls gave birth to kids (bastards) that are today roaming our streets with no father figures in their lives. I can go on and on. I am sure we are bound to see a repeat of the same just because you have thugs in power who do not believe that the transfer of power should be a cordial and peaceful process. I will admonish our girls and women to be virtuous and conduct themselves well by staying away from the money or promises these foreigners will make to them. We don’t want to see videos of you all complaining about what a foreign soldier did to you later. I hope the international partners i.e @ecowas_cedeao @EUinSierraLeone @USEmbFreetown & the government officials will protect our girls and women from exploitation or abuse by the ECOWAS troops deploying in Sierra Leone. @ecowas_cedeao @Ecowas_cdc @IntlCrimCourt @StateDept

Power Outage Disrupts Presidential Town Hall Meeting at Bintumani International Conference Centre A power outage at the Bintumani International Conference Centre disrupted the much-anticipated Presidential town hall meeting. President Bio was answering questions from the Minister of Information when the entire venue went dark. Although the lights were quickly restored, it took nearly 15 minutes for the PA system to resume operation. The unexpected interruption caused a brief delay in the proceedings, but the town hall meeting resumed as scheduled.
