A historic ruling by the Helsinki District Court—a Russian combatant has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing and torturing captured Ukrainian soldiers. This is the first #RussianWarCrimes case outside Ukraine to result in a court verdict, sending a strong message that the world will not allow war criminals to escape justice.
