Please stop asking me this question. I have been meaning to make this video for a while now. I get asked this constantly, and the truth is, it’s not helping your progress anyway.
Drop your thoughts in the comments, and if someone comes to mind while watching this, tag them or share it with them.

When I started development in 2023-24 everyone around me kept saying full stack development is dead, and AI will replace developers anyway..
Funny thing is, many of the people saying that are still stuck in the same place today lol
Nothing is dead in tech, the tools change, workflows evolve and the people who adapt keep growing.
Instead of treating AI like competition I started using it as a tutor and accelerator, to learn faster debug faster and build faster
At the end of the day the people who keep building are the ones who survive every shift in tech

Finally I won my 15th hackathon 🏆
built Tara at @rumik_ai's hackathon - a voice-first astrology platform where you can literally call a counsellor in Hinglish, real-time, low latency 🪐🔮
pick your astrologer → share your birth chart → just call them. that simple.
Deepgram Flux for STT + Gemini Flash + Rumik SILK streamed over WebSocket. the stack was clean, the demo was cleaner 😭✨
honestly one of the most fun builds i've shipped. something about voice + culture + real usecase just hits different 🎙️
15 wins in and it still feels unreal haha 🫡
dropping a full post soon on how to actually win hackathons mindset, stack choices, pitching, all of it
follow @ByteMohit so you don't miss it 👀

if you're on the market, don't be afraid to pivot
get technical, learn a new thing, consider different niches. take a bet and move to a talent hub (they exist not only in the states). network outside of your bubble. practice languages. launch a pet project or participate in the hackathon. pitch yourself like you're a billionaire ceo. then pitch yourself humbly. quick on the jump calls with strangers. shitpost, research, show up. take side gigs.
hiring is not fair, complaints don't help, so the only way is upskilling and having fun

If you work in corporate, do this right now!
1. Have a 6-month emergency fund.
2. Keep your resume updated. Take 1 personal leave day every month to just polish existing skills and learn new ones. Don't let your guard down.
3. Build personal projects, personal brand. If you have a skill, sell it. (Web designing/development, digital marketing, graphic design). Basically, have a second option ready.
4. Build your network in the industry where you work. Be connected to your college friends, hiring partners, etc. Be in search of better opportunities always.
5. Be close to the upper management circle. Look for early signs of layoffs.
6. Keep in mind that you are replaceable, keep upgrading yourself.

An Indian engineer at Meta gets the layoff email at 11pm Bangalore time. His wife is on H-4. His kid is in 3rd grade in Seattle. His Bellevue apartment lease has 8 months left. His H-1B clock just started ticking — 60 days. Meta's stock went up on the news. Zuck called it becoming more efficient. This is what AI transformation actually looks like for 2 lakh Indians abroad. Ai impact on Indians abroad is highest

been getting a bunch DMs lately what kinda technical skills exactly to work on or just to stay relevant. an observation on this -
when it comes to “demand” today:
- building agents
- context engineering
- designing evals / harnesses
- distributed systems
- FDE where you know your stack really well
for a “differentiation” among a pool of candidates
- RL / model post training
- inference engineering
- ai safety / interpretability
- infrastructure
- multimodal research
might be subjective to roles and companies.

The core thoughts, the strategy, and the instructions are 100% mine. AI is just the editor that gives it the final polish to hit the right audience. Refusing to use AI for structuring in 2026 is like refusing to use a calculator for math. It’s an optimization game, not a typing test, brother!

🚨 Meta is laying off as many as 8,000 employees, 10% of the global employees of Facebook and Instagram in 2 days (May 20)
After the May 20 layoffs, Meta is expected to carry out more job cuts in the second half of the year.
An employee described a few colleagues stockpiling office supplies with free snacks and drinks and chargers as a form of “trauma bonding.”

@kunalbinjewar09 @IndianTechGuide Too much AI my friend , Why not type yourself
English

That line about trauma bonding over free snacks honestly breaks my heart. We read massive numbers like 8,000, but behind that, it's real people stressing over their careers and families. If anyone affected is reading this and needs help with connections or just wants to vent, my DMs are open. Hang in there.

@IndianTechGuide Imagine getting this kind of a CTC with zero performance reviews, no daily KPIs, and absolute job security for 5 years. Taxpayers are literally funding the most elite corporate package in the country for our public servants. The irony is just wild.
