@Charles27188576 Trying to do this off my phone stinks so I bookmarked that to check tomorrow. I see next season as the real obstacle here because Skinner goes up to $6.4M But if they can do it and get through that, they’re looking good. Now if they can move on from Greenway’s contract 👀

@Charles27188576 Im going to dive into this a bit more once I’m home tomorrow evening to see how it all could shake out. I don’t think it’d be feasible (clearly, no breaking news there), but you may be right. Also I’m not sure if there’s a set increase established yet for 2027-28

Alright I’m getting sappy for a minute then back to manly man things. Walt is such an awesome guy and I’m beyond lucky to be able to be talk Sabres with him. He cares so much about Buffalo and the people that live here. I’m blessed to call him a friend.

Huge thanks to you all for following and interacting this year. This summer will be 10 years since the start of TCB and the last six months have been the most fun by a long shot. We’ve created content & built the brand through some dark and monotonous times, and you all are what have made it so fun regardless. You sickos. For real - it’s special to have a community that’s been around the whole way. That’s what makes this fan base great, and to get to do this now with a fun team is so rewarding. We’re just laying the groundwork for the start of something special. Can’t wait for what the future holds.

@Bulldogs_96 That’s totally fair, I was solely going at it from a Sabres perspective. For Benson, yeah bridge deal would probably be best for him financially. Really depends on his priorities, but I can’t imagine he’s thinking of elsewhere right now.

@BillTCB While I agree completely, I’m not sure Benson will want 8 years. He could be leaving a lot of money on the table signing an 8 year deal. He might be better to sign a 3-4 year deal and set himself up for a massive deal at 24 years old after 4 yrs of large cap jumps.

@EmptyNettersPod I understand what you’re getting at cap wise, but man he was so good in the playoffs, it’s just a tough time to make this argument. Some Sabres fans want him gone but a majority realizes how good he is. IMO if a top-4 D goes, it’s Byram since he’s a UFA after next season.

@Ade780 Didn’t like Krueger as a coach but met him and I saw why people like him He was very engaging to a couple kids that went up to him, even picked them up and held them and his dad hopped in next to him and I took a picture for em I think about how their family must love that photo

Have you ever met an NHL coach or two; it was a great experience, they were extremely respectful and genuine towards you, but you aren’t a fan of their coaching style whatsoever? It’s tough at times but you can separate things👍🏻
