Update: Bitcoin bounced out of oversold, rallying against Gold.
Every time this has happened in Bitcoin's history, it was the start of a 2+ year bull market.

This is the Bitcoin/Gold chart - currently lowest RSI in history. Bitcoin peaked relative to Gold in Dec 2024. We have been in a ~14 month bear market ever since. Prior major bear markets: - April 2021 to June 2022 = 14 months - Dec 2017 to Feb 2019 = 14 months - Nov 2013 to Jan 2015 = 14 months The current prevailing view seems to be that because we had a Bitcoin all-time-high (in dollars) in Oct 2025, that we are just a few months in to a bear market. But that ATH may have been just because Gold and Silver were ripping, dragging Bitcoin up with them. But when you view Bitcoin in Gold terms (this chart), it tells a very different story. Rather than being early in a bear market, it's quite possible that this is the final chapter of a bear market that actually started 14 months ago. The end of each prior bear market was followed by years of uptrend for Bitcoin. Will this time be different? Currently, any Bitcoin bears are betting this historic low keeps going lower.

Before you know it Bitcoin will be at a new All Time High and all the people that sold professing they know exactly how Bitcoin works because of a 4 year cycle will be silent & will never own the same amount of Bitcoin ever again.
They will be defeated by their ego & will never recover.
The most humble thing you can do - and most profitable - is just HODL & let Bitcoin cook.

I'll be honest. I sold the bottom at $266.
That was my paper hands moment. I'm not proud of it.
But I also held from pennies to $32, then watched it crash 94% to $2. Held.
Held through Mt. Gox. Held through the 2018 crash to $3,200. Held through COVID dumping it to $3,800 in a single afternoon.
"I'll buy when it dips" is what everyone says.
Then it dips 48% and they freeze.
What kept me holding was not bravery. It was understanding what I owned.
You have to know what you hold. Otherwise the dip owns you.

Who Satoshi is no longer matters for Bitcoin. That said, I agree this is the most thoughtful piece I’ve seen on the topic. It stands in contrast to prior self-indulgent exposés, approaching the topic with humility and kindness - qualities Satoshi and Bitcoin have earned.

Too many people on here are massively underestimating how huge the Paparo hearing was for Bitcoin.
Now that Bitcoin is being discussed as a national security issue, it gives me and my team the ability to advocate better for Bitcoin in DC.

I’m trying very hard to stay cautiously bullish...
but the truth is I’ve never been more convinced.
The more I study Bitcoin, the less this looks like a trade and the more it looks like the most asymmetric asset of our lifetime.
Global SoV demand is 400T (we are still less thn 2T)
So even a move from “digital speculation” to “partial monetary asset” is a multiple repricing
That’s why I’m cautious in the short term and aggressively bullish in the long term.
Because volatility is what the market charges you
for front-running global understanding.
Most people see Bitcoin as “up too much.”
I see an asset that is still tiny relative to the problem it solves
I’m bullish because the monetization curve still looks early.
