@brian_armstrong @coinbase Honestly if you block the Clarity Act further the community will probably react so negatively that it won’t matter what you do, Coinbase will crater. You underestimate how bad that will be..

@MarioNawfal Probably could have gotten 10,000 international experts to sign an open letter calling Oct 7 a crime against humanity.. Or what about the 1000’s of missiles that hezzbula rains down on civilians (funded by Iran) every year..

🇺🇸🇮🇷 More than 100 international law experts have signed an open letter calling the Iran war a violation of international law. They say the U.S. launched strikes on a sovereign nation without authorization from Congress or the UN Security Council. That alone, they say, violates the UN Charter. Then there’s the U.S. missile that struck a girls' elementary school in the Iranian town of Minab on February 28, killing at least 175, most of them schoolkids. A military investigation found it was likely a targeting mistake. The experts say it likely violates international humanitarian law and could constitute a war crime. The experts also condemned Iran's strikes on civilian infrastructure across the region as unlawful. Source: NYT

🚨 BREAKING: Brian Armstrong Blocks the CLARITY Act Again. For the Third Time. The most consequential crypto bill in U.S. history is stalled. Again. And once again, one man is holding the trigger. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has now pushed back on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act three times: ▪️ January 2026 - The night before the Senate Banking Committee markup, Armstrong posted on X that Coinbase "cannot support the bill in its current form." The hearing was postponed indefinitely. ▪️ March 25, 2026 - Coinbase formally told Senate offices the revised yield compromise still went too far, marking its second official withdrawal. ▪️ Now - A new draft is on the table. Armstrong? Silent. And in crypto, silence from him isn't neutrality. It's leverage. The reason is simple: $1.35 billion. That's how much Coinbase earned in stablecoin revenue in 2025 nearly 20% of its entire income. The CLARITY Act's stablecoin yield ban would gut that revenue line almost entirely. Armstrong has a fiduciary duty to shareholders. He's playing it. But here's what's getting lost: 🔸 The crypto industry spent $149 million through Fairshake PAC to make this bill happen 🔸 The House passed it 294-134 — rare bipartisan territory 🔸 a16z's Chris Dixon, Robinhood's Vlad Tenev, Circle, Ripple, Kraken — all support moving forward 🔸 Even David Sacks from the White House called Armstrong's first pullback "a risk to the entire legislative agenda" The bill isn't dead. But every time Armstrong blinks, the legislative calendar shrinks. Prediction markets now put CLARITY Act passage in 2026 at just 54%. One company. One revenue line. One CEO willing to fracture an entire industry coalition and hold U.S. crypto regulation hostage to protect it. You can agree with Armstrong's commercial logic and still ask: At what cost? The Senate Banking Committee markup is now targeted for late April. The window is closing.

two things that “radicalized” me about this useless stupid war: 1) these videos are often posted with masturbatory glee 2) the victims are always uniformed but very often unarmed and without helmets… almost like they’re PoWs who have been released and hunted on video for sport

The CLARITY Act passed the House 294-134. a16z backed it. Ripple backed it. The White House backed it. The crypto industry spent $149M to make this moment happen. Then Brian Armstrong killed it the night before the Senate vote. Why? Because stablecoin yield restrictions would eat into Coinbase's $1.35B annual stablecoin revenue. One company's P&L just held an entire industry's regulatory future hostage. On March 25, Coinbase formally rejected the bill a second time. The odds of CLARITY Act passage in 2026 now sit at 18%. This isn't leadership. It's self-interest dressed up as principle.

@aliraz @MarioNawfal Iran now has no Air Force no Navy and can only launch a dozen or so missiles a day with no ability to replenish. If that’s winning I’d hate to see losing.

@MarioNawfal They are being pummeled daily. So are the US and Israel. The US, every day, with its 1T military budget is looking more and more incompetent and more and more like a boomer in retirement. Past it's peak and its becoming obvious. Israel looks more and more like a paper tiger.

@citrinowicz @ChrisO_wiki Imagine walking into the Israeli cabinet after all the iDF Air Force had been wiped out, all the Navy, the air defenses, most of the rockets / drones, financial system wrecked, defense industrial base trashed, half the leadership dead and saying you’d won a strategic victory.

Four weeks into the war, the emerging picture is deeply problematic. The conflict appears to have produced a more radicalized Iranian regime, still in possession of significant stockpiles of 60% enriched uranium, while retaining the ability to exert influence over critical global economic chokepoints, and maintain a steady pace of projectile launches. This has come in exchange for a partial degradation of Iran’s forcd buildup primarily in the conventional domain. Even in this respect, however, the achievements remain limited and, more importantly, It is clear that Iran will rebuild its capabilities, and even if it takes longer than expected, it will ultimately succeed in doing so. The absence of a clearly defined exit strategy has led to a gradual slide into a war of attrition, one that is imposing mounting costs on the economy, military readiness, and, critically, the civilian home front all over the ME and beyond. At the outset of the conflict, the current trajectory suggests a far more ambiguous outcome. At best, the results are mixed; at worst, they point to a troubling gap between operational success and strategic effectiveness. While the end state of the campaign remains uncertain, the current trajectory suggests that accumulated operational gains are not translating into strategic success, and may, in fact, be leading to strategic failure. #IranIsraelWar

@citrinowicz Iran has lost.2layers of leadership, it’s navy, air force most all it’s missiles (and the rest or soon bye-bye) all command and control.. it’s ability to replenish.. ablity to enrich.. And will likely be facing coordinated internal (armed protestors) and external (Kurd) pressure

@AriDavidPaul @DonAlt Iran has lost.. Trump’s doing a ‘negotiating’ fake to buy time for the last 20% of missiles to be eliminated or used and very likely coordination of the Kurds plus local rebels (aka protestors with arms) to begin putting pressure on the regime from all directions. Wait for it.

If we’re talking IRGC specific leaders and institutions, they seem to be getting what they desire most…martyrdom. Iran now has Syria, Oman, UAE, and Qatar all actively supporting the US and Israel. Shocking. Hard to imagine Iran losing any harder than this…short of complete and total collapse of the regime. What do you think they’ve won? IMO, they’ve demonstrated they have more power over strait than the world appreciated. That’s a demonstration of prior power. What have they or will they win? Maybe there’s a bet there.
