I warned you 5 years ago: Michael Saylor is a threat to Bitcoin. Now even his biggest supporters are starting to see it.

Something is rotten in the state of Bitcoin. Hodlonaut earned rare respect in Bitcoin through his principled fight against Faketoshi. When he began publishing his detailed investigation into Bitcoin Core — the CAPTURE series (👇) — most big-name Bitcoiners went silent. I initially thought this was just my impression from being less active on X. So I directly asked eight of them whether they had read the articles and if they had any comments. The result:

Most know I think Saylor is a Fabian. I do not think MSTR is a scam. It is an engineering design he worked using AI that is complex and confuses people. I do not believe he is scamming people this way. I think he is working with Big Bitcoin to make sure Bitcoin never is money. Your credibility needs new metrics. We need to measure the amount of times you insult OGs and those who care about self-custody in podcasts, interviews and tweets and the amount of times you have taken dilutive actions against your prior earnings call guidance diluting your common shareholders far in excess of what you had given guidance on. If you still don't think BIP110 is the make or break moment for bitcoin then sorry but you are NPC/midwit bitcoiner.

The UASF is the only way Bitcoin can defend itself. Everything else naturally centralizes. Development/funding/mining/on-ramps/off-ramps - all captured already. That is why they must erase BIP148 from history and why it is the most important cause I have fought for in Bitcoin's history. BIP110 is another UASF and the arguments they make against it are obviously in bad faith. Their motive for arguing in bad faith is that UASFs is that Bitcoin is currently in the process of being captured and BIP110 clearly interferes with that.

@CorySwan Some friends are more comfortable to wholecoin into IBIT. Maybe treasonous on my part, but I’m willing to suggest it as well for those who can’t grasp or manage it otherwise

Get to a whole coin and you're one of a million. Truly. There will never be more than ~1 million wholecoiners, and the number will shrink over time. (On a related note, buy fees at Swan are now 0,50%, and Swan pays your network fees on withdrawals to self-custody...)

Most of us due to Saylor being a billionaire who was seemingly willing to do everything to buy #Bitcoin fell into the trap of glorifying him. In reality, it’s more than time that his “hero” image is slayed as he has shown a LOT of red flags, and I really mean a lot.
