"Bitcoin Knots for the Win" "Super Disappointed" I am super disappointed. In myself. For the past years, I have head the cry to run your own Bitcoin node. I listened to how critical it is for the Bitcoin Network to remain decentralized. I brushed it off, it sounded like a lot of work. I thought I needed special equipment. I didn't want to spend any precious sats or my valuable scarce time. Well a few days ago, I started the process to document the entire node runner process. What I documented in the first FIVE MINUTES was all that is needed. One screen shot, attached again in this post. Holy crap, is my generation so blind and damaged from all those years of having to install crappy software via dial-up? From Windows to Netgear? Setting up modems and routers, on the phone with Comcast? Dreadful. Is the current generation so blind because they are so used to an instant-never-uncomfortable existence? I am up and running, it literally was just a few clicks, yes it takes a couple 'days' to synch up but big deal? You don't remember the old days, where downloading a few pictures took that long. Where if you accidentally disconnected, shut your laptop, you had to start over etc. HOLY CRAP I am mad. I am so disappointed there are not a million Bitcoin nodes running out there. Why did it take me so long? I will never be able to answer that or forgive myself for my inaction and disdain and complacency. Notes: - Running on an old Macbook Air I picked up for $150 off Craigslist. - Pointed to Bitcoin Knots bitcoinknots.org - Downloaded to my Apps Folder, had to open it from the folder to get around an Apple 'concern.' - Ran it for a few days (no thanks to the SPAMmers) It's running. Good grief. I have no interest in setting up the Wallet side or let alone even verify my transactions. This isn't about me, if I lost all my Bitcoin, that's life, this is for humanity. For now, like Swan wants to Orange Pill a million, I want to help Node Pill a million. Anyone want to help? Set aside five minutes of your time to help the Bitcoin Network? Is that too big of an ask? How may I help? My Bitcoin "Run your own node" eyes and ears are open. I have NO clue how this could land me in jail either, I'd fight this one the rest of my law-abiding-tax-paying years.

I am saying she was a crackpot, died of cancer after telling so many of these losers they could go to Radio Shack for the cure. I am a 30 year patient advocate in this stupid dread disease, been to ASCO, AACR, all over the nation. So many losers make millions off the desperate including those who delayed Steve Jobs for the first 7 months.

There was a woman, "Dr." Hulda Clark who wrote "The Cure for All Advanced Cancers." She had a huge following of people like the original poster. Guess what you did? You went to Radio Shack and built a 'Zapper' with the instructions in the book. "It WORKS." Hulda died of Myeloma. Special place in hell for those making money off the desperate in the Cancer Community, patients and their families. Alternative/ComplEmentary with an 'e' for expen$ive.

@NicHulscher Doctor here. This study is garbage. The results are based on self-reporting how your cancer is responding. No mention of imaging or any objective measurements. Just “Yeah dude, my cancer is like totally better!” Stupid is as stupid does

He has to understand the almighty dollar, out of the 180 currencies is still the best looking horse in the glue factory. Meaning, the dollar has lost over 99% of it's purchasing power the past 100 years. But look at what Bitcoin has done. I am 61, maybe close to your dad's age. He's chasing FIAT/IPO/MAG7soon8. I did the same, but it's really hard to explain 'high time preference' and 'low time preference.' Right now the hottest high time preference stocks are AI and SpaceX but what about a year from now when the "highs" wear off. That money will go back into Bitcoin and if it doesn't, we need to wait a year. Crappy explanation but I know your dad's type, I call them 'my friends.'

Today my dad, who I orange pilled 5 years ago, told me he was going to sell his bitcoin and put it into AI stocks. He was very disappointed with the bitcoin returns and thinks AI is going to continue to be very profitable for the next decade. I was shocked. I had no words. What would you have said to him if you were me?

Being incorporated in Delaware is a real disadvantage for Strategy. Delaware law requires a shareholder vote to change their dividend payout frequency. Which is why they have to hustle to get to 50% of the votes. Strive were able to implement daily dividends with no shareholder vote, because they are incorporated in Nevada. Both SpaceX and Tesla used to be in Delaware. But after the nasty Tesla shareholder lawsuits where they voided Elon's $50 billion pay package (that he rightfully earned), Elon moved both companies to Texas. Delaware is on a visible trajectory towards being more and more unfriendly and adversarial. Strategy should seriously consider moving to a more business/freemdom friendly state, like Texas or Nevada. It's sorely needed. When was the last time you heard someone say that Bitcoin's mission is to separate money from state? For me, it's been a long, long while. Just heard it today, and it felt like remembering something from a long time ago. Bitcoin is MONEY, not Jpeg storage.

Bitcoin Knots is NOT poorly maintained nor has "large flaws". What Core is doing is strong, maybe even definitive, evidence it has been taken over by people hostile to Bitcoin's success. Consensus rules is NOT the place to mitigate spam. It has always been done in policy for good reason, and is most effective there. None of the "problems" you claim about divergence between policy and consensus rules are real problems. Stop letting bad actors gaslight you.
