@NYRLouie @TMS1933 Buch is way worse of a prospect and theres real concern he doesn’t ever come over to North America. The top 15 pick wasn’t a top 15 pick at the time of the trade, it was projected in the low 20’s. The third is immaterial, it was essentially Soderblom. And Holl was a cap dump.

He did better for Pittsburgh but the Wings were just happy to be rid of him. So basically it was cap dump, guy who may never play in NA, 3 points in 39 games, and a 1st

@NYRLouie So Detroit gave a cap dump in Holl a 22 year old prospect who has never played in NA and a 1st and 3rd. Definitely not the same as their 9th overall pick who’s played NHL games and a 1st and 2nd with no cap dump.

The Tigers today placed OF Kerry Carpenter on the 10-day injured list with a left AC joint sprain. INF Gage Workman (#99) was selected from Triple-A Toledo. To make room for Workman on the 40-man roster, RHP Justin Verlander was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
