Celeste Maloy’s Money Fact Check Earlier this week, popular Utah-based X account Disagree Butter posted a series of graphics containing an analysis of Utah House Rep. Celeste Maloy’s campaign finances and their sources. “How Is Celeste’s Campaign Really Funded,” the opening graphic reads, with the slug “Out-of-State Money. Out-of-touch Priorities.” The following slides highlighted that “61% of her donations come from outside Utah,” pointing to five-figure donation totals originating from Washington DC, Virginia, and California. The third slide noted that “Less than 10% came from her own district (CD3),” and pointed out that “Only $29,350 out of $296,050 raised came from CD3 voters, just 9.9%.” It should be noted that Maloy is currently the incumbent for Utah’s second district, but after court-ordered redistricting, she is running for re-election in the newly drawn Utah Third Congressional District. She faces former gubernatorial candidate and 2024 GOP convention nominee Phil Lyman in the race for the state’s new rural seat. The final slide posted by Disagree Butter reads “20% of her donations came from insiders and lobbyists,” and provides the figure of $59,375 from political insiders, highlighting her largest single donor as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee at $22,125, while also claiming $30,250 came from what it describes as “government relations” sources. The numbers in the slideshow appear to reflect an independent analysis of Maloy’s 2025 FEC financial disclosures, and a review of those filings broadly supports the underlying patterns the graphics point to, even if the exact percentages depend on how the data is grouped. The itemized reports show a significant share of contributions coming from outside Utah, particularly from states like Virginia, California, and the Washington DC corridor, alongside repeated donations from national political organizations and PACs, including multiple entries associated with AIPAC and other industry and trade groups. At the same time, the filings also show a steady stream of Utah-based donors throughout the reporting period, meaning the precise breakdown between in-state, out-of-state, and district-level giving can vary depending on the timeframe and methodology used. In that sense, while the graphics capture a real and visible trend in Maloy’s fundraising network, the specific figures presented should be understood as one interpretation of a broader set of publicly reported data. A clearer and more complete picture is now just days away. First quarter 2026 FEC filings are due on April 15, and those disclosures will land less than two weeks before delegates gather in Orem for the state Republican nominating convention. With the race already drawing contrasts over grassroots support versus institutional backing, the next round of numbers is likely to sharpen that debate, offering a more current snapshot of where Maloy’s support is coming from as the campaign enters a decisive stretch. A follow up review of those filings will help determine whether the trends identified here are accelerating, stabilizing, or beginning to shift as convention day approaches.

A new visa attack on America workers has come to light. The proposed H–2C work visa would import a large number of foreign construction workers, servers, and hotel maids. Wait until you see the cosponsors!!!

We have to protect @RepThomasMassie from the attacks he faces for confronting corruption on our behalf. Let’s get him over $400k so he can stare down the threat. This isn’t just a Kentucky issue. He’s being targeted nationally. It’s a matter of sovereignty. Hold the line!

You did it! We hit $350,000 for our moneybomb! The FEC deadline for Q1 donations is tonight at midnight, so we’re going to leave the Massiemoneybomb.com site up until then in case you missed it yesterday… or if want to donate again! Ps. Here’s my new MAHA-PRIME Act video!

Canada says it will go door to door to collect guns… and people still say nobody’s coming for your guns. Let that sink in. In Canada, 98% of gun owners basically said no to the government’s so-called buyback program. And instead of backing off? Now the conversation turns into police going door to door for collection. That’s not a buyback. That’s not voluntary. That’s confiscation dressed up in softer language. And this is exactly why gun owners never trust the line: “Nobody’s coming for your guns.” Because eventually the mask always comes off. First it’s common sense. Then it’s registration. Then it’s bans. Then it’s buybacks. Then it’s door-to-door collection. So I want to hear from y’all: What do you call it when Canada sends people door to door to take legally owned guns? Comment: BUYBACK or CONFISCATION And bigger question— Do you think Canada is the preview of what anti-gun politicians want everywhere else? Drop your answer in the comments. youtu.be/dNBwQSAYYiI

I’m very confused about the number of people who think “property tax” is a sales tax on you home rather than taxes to pay for public services you use every day. “I paid off my home why do i still pay property taxes?!?!?” Oh, did you also stop using the roads and libraries and sidewalks and parks? Not worried about fires anymore?

"A billion dollars so we can burn more fossil fuels ... a billion dollars that could be used for health care for those in need, for education, to take care of our national parks." With scorching temperatures and dwindling water supplies this summer, consider how you can influence state and federal leaders to advance policies that preserve, rather than threaten, our future.
The Salt Lake Tribune@sltrib

Letter: This summer, when temperatures sizzle and water is scarce, ask yourself what you can do so that our political leaders (state and federal) promote our future instead of destroying it. sltrib.com/opinion/letter…

Since Utah became a state in 1896, @RepBlakeMoore is the only Republican elected to a leadership position in the U.S. House of Representatives. His colleagues and @potus respect him. He does such a great job repping Northern Utah and looking out for Hill AFB. I’m all for Moore 🇺🇸
