Andy is so spot on, because even if you're a uni student (like myself, and about to graduate), you aren't actually in a comfortable position with a safety net of employment and that feeling of contribution that so many of us lack.

Given the scarcity of polling on Makerfield and the wide (ish) margin of error on what we have we should obviously be careful with speaking in certainties about outcomes.
But what is clear is Andy Burnham has a strong personal appeal in the north that far exceeds that of the Labour Party. Meaning he could well win a by a by election where otherwise Labour would stand no chance. That’s the big picture.
