Crimson Desert EARLY impressions: • Visuals looks even better in person • There is almost zero handholding, you need to figure things out yourself • Controls are definitely confusing at first but I started to get the hang of it within a couple hours • There is so much to do JUST in the opening town. It's actually kind of overwhelming 😆 • The world very much feels lived in. You can talk to nearly every NPC for some useful info or XP. • Interactivity is insane, everything has physics and objects can interact with each other • Really like the combat so far, excited to try out different weapons • Story has been slow in the opening hours, hopefully it starts to pick up

Anonymous devs from Pearl Abyss have revealed the troubled development of Crimson Desert.
The game began as an MMO prequel to Black Desert Online but was later converted to a single-player title after years of work.
In its final stages, major leadership changes triggered significant story rewrites including renaming the protagonist and scrapping key mercenary elements.
These last-minute shifts left the game with a disjointed narrative, mismatched features, and overly cluttered controls.
The issues were only finalized shortly before launch.

I would respect someone's opinion a lot more highly yeah, especially if their opinions are flat-out disingenuous because they simply want the game to fail to align with their grift.
Marathon is a highly-competitive game, if you cant compete (and dont wanna take the time to learn) then the game isnt for you. Nothing wrong with that, its just not marketed towards you.
