The fact that the family proclamation is now controversial shows we have a major problem in the church with active members who simply reject the clear teachings of the prophets and don’t understand our doctrines. And outsiders look at this division and are turned off as they see what looks like another bickering Protestant sect instead of a united covenant people. When so many of the members don’t even believe our prophet it looks weird when we are asking non members to. “If ye are not one… ye are not mine”

@Joyofthesaints @ThoughtfulSaint Yeah posting stuff online would have been an easy decision for President Kimball. It’s a tradeoff they are willing to make.

“But as you cannot always judge the righteous, or as you cannot always tell the wicked from the righteous, therefore I say unto you, hold your peace until I shall see fit to make all things known unto the world concerning the matter.” - D&C 10:37 It’s better for a bishop to error on the side of Mercy vs justice in my opinion.

President Kimball in the book the miracle of forgiveness described how he was doing a Temple recommend interview and the person answered all the questions in the affirmative appropriately, and he had an uneasy feeling. He didn’t just blindly issue the Temple recommend. I believe he said some days later this young man came in crying confessing that you knew that I had lied. How did you know in President Kimball says that all men of God have this ability to discern if they have the Holy Ghost. That is what we are missing. I could provide more stories, but essentially we need Bishop stake presidents primarily to have greater discernment. Actually, it’s not even discernment. It’s these people post this stuff on social media and they don’t have the courage to confront them.

Valid concern but the church has always been about teaching true principles and letting people govern themselves. Those who enter the temple unworthy or with ill intent have to answer to God in the day of Judgment. I understand that it could cause one to question the validity of the institution. However the brethern haven’t swayed in teaching true principles and letting us govern ourselves. My perspective is serve white all my heart might mind and strength, in Faith Hope and Charity and trust God will bring about his holy purposes.

@ThoughtfulSaint I’ve spoken with people in salt lake that are essentially non-believing members and merely stay in due to tradition and social groups. Unfortunately, this includes bishoprics and they allow (& push) apostasy to seep in because they don’t have faith in the church and its leaders.

@ThoughtfulSaint I think the brethren have been warning about this for a while. Home centered - church supported. Primary gospel learning happens at home. Not at Church. Church supported yes. Primarily for the ordinances.

@tabr99 I had so many fatties at my reception I don't think I had a piece of my own cake, only the tiny Costco sample size my wife put in my mouth. Bummer.

On this website I have defended LDS wedding receptions not having food, thinking that I didn’t have food served at my reception. My wife just informed me that we did in fact serve food and we just never got the opportunity to eat any

Wealth can be a significant stumbling block for many. Helaman taught us in the Book of Mormon: "Then is the time that they do harden their hearts, and do forget the Lord their God, and do trample under their feet the Holy One... because of their ease, and their exceedingly great prosperity." I have coaching clients in the silicon slopes area, and from my judgment it falls only behind parts of California in vanity. But when we all lose our national wealth we are going to find out who the true believers are. I agree, Brigham Young was a prophet and he did the best he could.

Brigham Young said: The worst fear I have about this people is that they will get rich in this country, forget God and His people, wax fat, and kick themselves out of the Church and go to hell. This people will stand mobbing, robbing, poverty, and all manner of persecution, and be true. But my greater fear . . . is that they cannot stand wealth. ——- Brigham Young was a prophet.

I meet an incredible single woman in NYC. 31, gorgeous, part-time model + cool career, brilliant conversationalist, you name it, she's got it. She asks me to set her up! I’m excited, chatting with one of my NYC clients about her, and we Google her name. TikTok surfaces, accusing her of being a con artist 🤨 People talk crazy shit online, so I don't take the video too seriously? But obviously I'm intrigued, so we go down the rabbit hole, and... Two recent arrests. Credit card theft, and assault. My client’s reaction: “Do we give her the benefit of the doubt? Maybe she’s turned a new leaf…” 💀 The kicker: she told me she's 5’6, and her arrest record says 5’4 💀💀💀

Right-wing wave in Europe. France 🇫🇷: Marine Le Pen now leading polls to be next President. Austria 🇦🇹: the Freedom Party is leading the polls massively at almost 40% Germany 🇩🇪: The AfD party now consistently number ONE in polls. Norway 🇳🇴: The Libertarian FrP party leading the polls by a wide margin. Something is changing in Europe.

The majority, if not all, marriages in 2026 involve a woman settling for a man she isn’t truly attracted to because she spent her early to mid 20s getting pumped and dumped by Chads who wouldn’t commit. When a woman settles like that, she already has it in her mind that she’ll eventually divorce the poor guy, take half his assets, and become a whore again. You need to be very careful with the women you give your time to. She needs to have genuine desire for you, which, unfortunately, the majority of guys will never experience.

I hate to tell men this but The women dressed provocatively in the gym do want attention They are only upset when it comes from the guy they didn’t want it from That’s why the reaction is what it is It’s not your fault for noticing And yes, they will continue to deny this.
