ANOTHER SHOCKING COURT CASE A 19 year old girl in Sweden has been convicted of "gross defamation". Because she had in a private group chat warned about a man that was convicted for s*xually assaulting a 13 year old girl. She has been sentenced to pay around $3100 in compensation to the convicted man and must do 30 hours of youth service. In 2022 when the man was 17 years old, he was convicted for the attack against the 13 year old girl. The 19 year old woman who was now convicted for "gross defamation" is friends with the girl and even testified against the man in court. The court reasons that it was "not justifiable" for the 19 year old woman to have disclosed the information about the man's conviction even though it had happened. And here is the reason the court came to this conclusion. Because the court says it "took place approximately three years ago". So because the conviction was three years ago, the court now deems that it was not allowed to tell people about it in a private group chat. Therefore the court sentenced the 19 year old woman to youth service and to pay compensation to the man who was convicted. I'm lost for words. This is now the second court case from Sweden lately that is unbelievable. This should not happen. Sweden isn't safe anymore.
