@FirehouseSubs it's been 2 days now and all they have done is ask me for the store address.... if only there was a way to figure it out

@FirehouseSubs took my money for an online order, then greeted me with this sign. I'm a caregiver for a disabled family member on a medication schedule. no food, no refund, no humans, just a chatbot

@redaction Some states require them to show that they tried to hire a 3rd party agency and couldn't find one before a family member can get paid for it. It has its pros and cons.

@DougieSal it seems like this would have big implications to the claiming game. I would think owners/trainers would be upset if other trainers had access to their vet records

Looks like Pacefigures from TimeformUS. Clocker grades (possibly DRF. They gave Deterministic a B+ for that breeze.) And Vet records (possibly from InCompass Vet records) I doubt this is what the major CAW team is using but perhaps an American group.

@DKThomp Changes in insurance coverage mandates at the federal (medicaid) and state levels are part of the increase. More people covered leads to more people providing services. It also brought in private equity which wants to maximize service hours/profits.

I have no idea what the "right" number of workers in autism therapy is. Feels like a rich developed country should probably have a lot of people working in health care. But it's wild for an industry to quintuple in 6 years. In other contexts, it might even be the sort of thing we call a bubble.

In 2019, there were about 150,000 people working in autism therapy. Six years later, there were 654,000—more than the number of people who work in mining and logging, or telecommunications, or at the US Postal Service.

Re: the 2025 Kentucky Derby having the exact same issue... Clearly Final Gambit isn't just 3 lengths off the pace at the 1/4 pole. Again, the GPS chart indicated that the horse was ~6 lengths back at this point, and the drone confirms.

Hopefully there’s a process in place for cross-checking all charts against GPS data. It’s not as if this Kentucky Derby was some outlier. Last year’s Derby had the exact same issue and was never corrected. Not to mention countless other races that don’t get this scrutiny.

@DividendGrowth someone I know had a difficult time setting up a fidelity account for their teen because Fidelity said the SSN was already being used. they had to bring id to the fidelity office. still not comfortable that the other person using that SSN will not be able to access their funds.

A systems glitch at Fidelity deleted all the accounts of a customer They sent an alert to her that her email and phone number have been deleted, promting the customer to log on to their account When she discovered that all her funds were missing, she called Fidelity right away The reps did not see anything to her name, and asked her if she actually meant to call Charles Schwab They refused to connect her with the fraud department She had to drive two hours to a nearby Fidelity office, and called again, trying to contact their fraud department She found an account number, and shared it with a more helpful rep, who promised they would investigate They were ultimately able to resolve the issue, but it did take a lot of time, due to it being Easter Weekend on top of it The issue was very specific to this customer using a Tax ID when first opening an account, due to not having a Social Security Number at first. But somehow, the system at Fidelity became confused years later, when the customer used their Social Security Number. While this particular item may not be applicable to you and me, there are probably a ton of other glitches that could occur, which have not been thought out yet The moral of the story for me is to save account statements every month or quarter to your hard drive. And to have alerts set up, and regularly monitor my accounts.

@DutchRojas Your post is misleading. These companies that look like huge home health agencies are consumer directed care facilitators. They make sure that the family caregivers or (if they are so lucky) the people they hire get paid after they have gone through a long authorization process.

A physician needs prior authorization to prescribe a $40 medication. A home health agency in Brooklyn needs nothing to bill $1.27 billion. Same Medicaid system. Same taxpayer dollars. One of them faces audits, board certification, peer review, and utilization management. Guess which one.

We have an order in currently with our factory that in 2024 would have been $4,707 in tariffs After "Liberation Day" it'll be $101,673 and will be due about June 15th, right when it hits the US Port How is anyone supposed to plan for this? Especially small businesses like mine?
