@paulg We analyzed data from 400K+ devs and found that those using GitHub Copilot insert 1.3x more characters / keystroke on avg (e.g. w/ autocomplete). It's a simple measure, and != productivity, but it's proof that coding patterns are changing dramatically. software.com/reports/future…

Talked to a programmer today who said AI coding tools made him about 10x more productive. Though 10 seems like a round number, this was an attempt at a precise estimate.
