Sall Grover - @salltweets - is a brave Australian woman who has been unjustly dragged through our courts for trying to protect women's spaces. Our current laws do not protect our women, which means our laws must change. Sall is in the High Court right now because our laws don't define what a women is, and do not protect the right to have female-only spaces. For the past year my Nationals colleague Alison Penfold has worked on a bill to define what a women is in law. Today she introduced her bill into the House of Representatives. Sall is in the fight of her life to defend women-only spaces, and The Nationals are calling on the Albanese Labor Government help us enshrine that right into law. We will support changes that reinstate a definition of biological sex to protect women.
The Nationals have just introduced legislation to protect women’s rights. My Nationals colleague Alison Penfold introduced a bill this morning to define a biological female into the Sex Discrimination Act. This would let women protect their own spaces, sports and activities. It would stop us getting ridiculous court decisions like we saw in the Tickle v Giggle case. The Nationals will always defend women's rights.

Kirralie Smith (@KirralieS) is in court today to appeal a vilification decision and $95,000 in damages. Kirralie was bringing attention to the *fact* there are biological men in a women’s soccer team, and they sued her. It has since been revealed that the women in the women’s soccer league have been told they will be punished if they so much as walk off the field when a man [who claims to be a woman] is on it. The destruction of women’s rights have long been the canary in the coal mine of gender ideology, and Kirralie is being used as the example to scare other women into submission. But it isn’t just women’s rights that gender ideology destroys: it’s freedom of belief & freedom on speech, the absolute bedrock of a free society. I wish I could be with you today, @KirralieS, but I’m in Canberra reminding politicians that men are not women 😉 Men are not women. 🩷🩷🩷
Politicians could fix this issue - for free - in a sitting week. An amendment to the sex discrimination act to reinstate the correct definitions of woman & man, plus clarifying that the ordinary meaning of sex is biological, would fix this issue. The choice is simple: fall behind the rest of the world while becoming an ideological laughing stock, or crossing party lines to fix bad legislation & ensure no more Australian citizens are punished for acknowledging reality. Any politician who says this issue is too difficult to fix is either malicious or incompetent.
