was zum fick macht Nvidia da eig? Ach du scheiße

Let's actually think about this logically... These are massive studios with tens of thousands of employees. When Nvidia builds highly classified, unannounced technology, it has to be kept strictly under wraps. To build the demonstrations, Nvidia partners with a tiny, isolated subset of developers within those studios. The devs who actually get hands-on time with the tech are impressed. They openly state it helps restore the original vision and the high-quality assets they built in their 3D authoring tools. Then, some reporter runs up to a random, rank-and-file employee at the same company and asks for their opinion... and of course, they say they had no idea it was happening until the public announcement. Doesn't that make perfect logical sense? Nvidia isn't going to hold a company-wide town hall with 15,000 employees to showcase top-secret tech and expect it not to leak. Use your brain here. This is what actual developers who have got their hands on it and implemented it in their games have said about it...

Developers at Ubisoft and Capcom found out about DLSS 5 the day that it was unveiled, same time as the public. a Ubisoft developer said “We found out at the same time as the public” Developers at Capcom also told Insider Gaming that the announcement and the studio's involvement were shocking because Capcom has historically been very “anti-AI” with projects such as Resident Evil Requiem. The real question is, who exactly in the game studio partners knew about DLSS 5 before making the decision to let Nvidia implement it. Were there any game artists consulted before giving this the green light? Obviously something doesn't add up here, I feel like the higher-ups of these gaming companies didn't expect DLSS 5 to change their games to that degree and the backlash that would happen, hence why they decided to go for it.
