- Lock you out or evict you without a court order.
- Shut off your heat, hot water, electricity, or other essential services to force you out of your home.
- Retaliate against you for reporting unsafe conditions or exercising your tenant rights.
- Leave serious health and safety hazards, like mold, unrepaired.
- Discriminate against you because of your race, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Bangor City Councilor Michael Beck spotted at an anti-ICE rally chanting the slogans: "Brick by brick, wall by wall, this racist system has to fall," and "If we don't get no justice, they don't get no peace." We reached out to Beck to clarify exactly what he meant by "this racist system has to fall," given that he is an elected official. We also asked Beck if he was speaking in an official capacity as a council member. Here was his reply: "No, it has no connection to Council. If it did, I’d also be in trouble for chanting at the Weird Al Yankovic concert the other night. Who knows, maybe some of my colleagues think parody songs infringes on the original artists’ rights. I can only speak for myself, which I make clear whenever given the opportunity to do so."

The New Jersey Dem blasted Mamdani's views as "anti-American," "anti-Democratic" and "anti-capitalist," pointing to his past calls to defund police, opposition to prisons and support for eliminating the U.S. Senate.
He also ripped Mamdani's promise to honor an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visited New York City — a pledge Mamdani just admitted he doesn't actually have the authority to carry out.
