@GraceOnFire2 @PierrePoilievre Um, read the post, oil was at 100 a barrel and gas was 50 cents a litre cheaper during Harper’s time, so is there inflation on the extra 50 cents in taxes we pay? I’m confused by your liberal logic.

@PierrePoilievre I thought you were so much better at economics than this as you self proclaimed. Oil goes by the global market price dumbass. Oh yea and inflation which has been in every country. Doesn't matter if taxes are gone it won't control the market price from going up.

What do you mean you have done enough? Gas prices are 13.4% higher in Canada than in the U.S., and 50 cents-a-litre higher than under Harper, when oil was also at $100 a barrel. Get rid of all the taxes on gas for the rest of the year so Canadians can afford gas and groceries: conservative.ca/cpc/zero-tax-o…

@Gh0st0fT0mJ0ad @PierrePoilievre Which survivors are you speaking about? Cause I’ve heard from others saying the opposite. Maybe money makes people’s memory conform to the narrative. @BuckyHonest @PierrePoilievre When survivors say "there's bodies there" and ground radar backs their claims and both parties responsible make public apologies at the expense of their own finances? The defendants admitted it. The prosecution rests. The only people denying aren't involved. Just racist asses.

Jesus does not see women as property. Women aren't property! I believe Christianity is against pedophilia. Whether Christianity is real or not, I condemn pedophilia. Pedophilia is not knowing LGBTQIA+ people exist. I'm only speaking for my religion here. I am not Muslim. There are many nice people who are Muslims. Not all Muslims are terrorists, and not all terrorists are Muslims. There's good and bad people everywhere.

What we’ve learned from the radical left is: Ten Commandments in schools, BAD. Islamic pamphlets, GOOD. Ten Commandments, BAD. Free Qurans, GOOD. Ten Commandments, BAD. Sharia brochures, GOOD. A free Bible display is controversial, but free Qurans and Shariah literature are treated like ‘cultural enrichment.’ The hypocrisy is STAGGERING. Here’s how our schools should actually operate: Math, yes. Science, yes. History, yes. Reading, yes. Religious indoctrination and foreign legal systems that conflict with American constitutional values? Absolutely NOT. Sharia law has no place in the United States of America, and it certainly has no place being promoted inside American schools.

B'nai Brith Canada@bnaibrithcanada

The upcoming Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) conference is scheduled to platform speakers whose public records raise serious concerns about extremism, terrorist-support networks and incitement. B’nai Brith Canada’s investigation identified 11 scheduled speakers or participants with documented links to five organizations that have been criminally prosecuted, terrorist-designated or formally cited by foreign governments in connection with Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood or other extremist activity. After B’nai Brith Canada shared its findings with federal law enforcement, one of the individuals, Anas Altikriti, who was scheduled to speak at the conference, was denied entry into Canada earlier today. MAC’s decision to include these speakers is a serious failure of institutional responsibility. No credible public organization should need outside intervention to identify speakers whose records involve associations with extremist networks, support for terror, criminal charges, incitement and endorsement for “armed jihad.” MAC must explain how this conference program was approved, who reviewed these speakers, and why Canadians were expected to accept this platforming as legitimate community programming. B’nai Brith Canada has repeatedly called on the federal government to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist entity in Canada. The MAC conference demonstrates why that designation is urgently needed: extremist networks cannot be allowed to use Canadian platforms, institutions or public events to normalize their influence.

UPDATE: Zeina Agha has been terminated from @KPMG @KPMG_Canada We thank the firm for taking this seriously & acting quickly. Faith in client & investor security has been restored.
Leviathan@l3v1at4an

Zeina Agha @xeeebra is the Toronto based Talent Attraction Manager for the global accounting firm @KPMG @KPMG_Canada With Zeina Agha in charge of attracting talent to the firm, clients & investors can feel rest assured knowing she will picking the top terrorist supporters given her unconditional support for the foreign designated terror entity Hamas. Zeina Agha was quick to hit social media on October 7th2023, the largest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust, to show her support for the attack saying “I’m so proud of my people” to the backdrop of horrified Israeli concert goers running away from the Nova Music Festival as they are gunned down by Hamas terrorists. Zeina Agha loved the terrorist attack so much she said “today feels like Eid”, the celebration to end Ramadan in the Muslim religion. While glorifying the terrorist attack, Zeina Agha also simultaneously denied it even happened, later stating “Israel killed its own people on October 7th”, and that there is “zero proof” of “every lie” that occurred on that day including rape against Israeli women. In turn Zeina Agha has also been seen celebrating Tel Aviv civilian buildings getting hit by Iranian missiles writing “TEL AVIV IS GETTING LIT UP HAHAHAHAHA!!! LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE.” Zeina Agha dehumanizes Israelis stating they are “Nazis” who are “no different than Hitler” while telling them on social media she hopes they die “a more painful death than hell itself.” Zeina Agha refers to Hamas as “brave resistance fighters”, Yahya Sinwar as a “legendary man”, and Mohammed Deif as “the great leader.” She denies terrorist attacks as such claiming “resistance is NOT terrorism” with a picture of a PFLP terrorist with an assault rifle. This is a Notice of Public Interest to the Toronto Israeli & Jewish community regarding this radical supporter of Hamas & terrorist attacks. Further we are advising anyone who is a client or investor with KPMG that their assets & financial information are not safe given the compromised security of having a radical terrorist supporter in a senior position who is responsible for bringing like minded talent to the company. We strongly suggest dropping the company until this vulnerability has been rectified. I always thought the role of media was to hold the powerful accountable and to unapologetically seek the truth. Apparently, the CBC views it as trying to deceive and trick individual citizens (and opposition Members of Parliament) into bizarre and intentional “traps”. It’s something you would expect from a university fraternity, not a taxpayer-funded broadcaster. I want answers. Why is the taxpayer-funded broadcaster contacting Canadians and a Member of Parliament in disguise and trying to trick us into participating in a twisted social experiment, in partnership with American leftists like Igor Vamos? Will taxpayers also need to cover the legal bills for CBC in the inevitable lawsuits they are about to face? I interviewed more than 300 Canadians for my documentaries (and didn't receive any taxpayer money). Not once did I engage in garbage like this.

In an era when objective truth is a nice-to-have and the bar for politicians is in the depths of hell, it’s helpful to have someone like Rosemary Barton in the mix. For more than two decades, Barton, currently the CBC’s chief political correspondent, has chatted with, fact-checked and, when the occasion merits it, borderline interrogated the country’s most consequential public figures. Lately, thanks to some unusually exciting policy shifts under our refreshingly boring new prime minister, Canada’s newsmakers are commanding global headlines. But first, they’ll probably pop up on Rosemary Barton Live. And yet, as any journalist will attest, her job has never been harder. If politicians would prefer to sidestep tough inquiries, The Joe Rogan Experience and Call Her Daddy offer warmer, cushier landings. But as this country embarks on a 360-degree nation-building makeover, Canadians have more questions than ever. Barton is doing her best to get answers—no filler. macleans.ca/culture/rosema…

Amusing to see some Conservative reactions to this piece. Their conclusion, naturally, is that it’s all Canada’s fault, as though the U.S. didn’t begin this tariff war in the first place. What the piece actually shows is Canada trying to defend its auto industry and preserve a rules-based trade framework while negotiating with an administration that views tariffs and uncertainty as leverage, not temporary measures. If Canada made a mistake, it’s perhaps that Joly should have kept her powder dry while Stellantis was cutting jobs in Canada and pushed harder to finalize the deal that was reportedly close. But then again, autos, a hugely important sector for Canada, remained unresolved and were not part of the deal, so not sure if that would have made sense. But the broader conservative reaction online seems to be: Canada shouldn’t protect its industries or workers? What precisely would they have done differently in power?

Watching Carney and Poilievre go at it in Parliament is starting to feel uncomfortable. Not in a dramatic way, just in the way it feels when someone is clearly out of their depth and keeps pressing anyway. Carney knows the file. When he answers, he answers the actual question. He doesn’t need to perform outrage or repeat a catchphrase three times and call it a rebuttal. He just explains things, clearly, because he understands them. Poilievre comes in loud and confident, same as always, and that works great on a campaign trail or a Facebook video. But in a room where the other guy actually knows what he’s talking about? The gap shows. Every time. The frustrating part isn’t even the politics. It’s watching someone confuse intensity for competence and expect nobody to notice the difference. People notice. This stopped being a left vs right thing a while ago. Now it just looks like one guy who did the reading and one guy who thinks he doesn’t have to.
