A thing I’m unclear on is what are the second and third order effects of these Law & Order crackdowns Pratt is proposing? Ok so he does the week 3 sweep. EVERYONE OFF THE STREET. Where do they… go? Incarcerating people is VERY expensive, but that gets no discussion so far right?
Political Punk@actingliketommy

Podcast of billionaire shitters who don't want to pay taxes platform a reality tv goon suggesting the criminalization of homelessness... because billionaires can't stand walking down the street and seeing the evidence of what they've done to society.

I ordered Starbucks from Doordash and when it was delivered, the driver sat in my driveway for a little too long, so I sent a message in the app and asked if everything was Ok. She replied saying that she spilled all my coffees in her car. I immediately got a bunch of paper towels and cleaner, and I took them out to her. Helped her clean her car. Told her it was fine and asked that she just canceled the order. After her car was clean, she marked the order as delivered and took a picture of the

@Grammasue61 @JuForthePeople Thats what profit is. Workers create all the value that a company accrues yet only get a fraction back through wages. Thats how wealth is extracted.

The United States is a capitalist country. The billionaires have extracted so much wealth from the working class. Instead of war, how about we tax the rich & make sure everyone has their needs met.

@CBSNews LMAO that CBS played the "experience" card without outlining in any way what these so-called experienced politicians actually did that requires even an iota of brain power. Journalism is dead

@jonbrooks 90% houses are ugly, unmaintainable, too big, too bulky, fake with bad floorplans. They all must be demolished and bulldozed. Why do they need 0.25 acre lots? People should be punished for owning and building such bullshit.

Nobody wants a 3,500 sq ft boomer house. Gen Z doesn't want it. Millennials can't afford it. Foreign buyers are gone. These homes are becoming stranded assets. And there are thousands of them sitting on the market right now.

@imfat Stop with this garbage. We lived and worked under the equivalent of your $3100 and $10. Look up "in today's dollars" and "inflation." When a friend and I tried to get a place freshman year in college (1989), rents were ~$450 a month and we couldn't afford it between the 2 of us

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $3,100 rent and $10 eggs. You didn’t graduate with $60K debt and no job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

My home is paid off. My wife & I allegedly own it FREE & CLEAR. But today we got a bill for property taxes. If we don't pay it, ARMED MEN will come & take it from us & then cage me until I pay them MY MONEY. So do I own it? Am I really free? I already pay 35% income tax + easily another 15% taxes in: -Sales. -Gas & fuel. -Capital gains. -Plethora of other taxes. TAXATION IS THEFT. Property tax shouldn't exist.

Senior citizens shouldn’t have to pay property tax on their primary home if: 1. The home mortgage is fully paid off 2. The homeowner has paid property taxes for 25 years or more By then, they’ve paid their fair share. Fixed income individuals who have done everything right and are living on fixed incomes shouldn’t have this burden.

@UziCryptoo The government facilitates services that you use. You do owe them something for those services. If you want to “own it” and not pay anything yearly, put some money in an investment fund that will pay out enough to equal the property taxes. Then you will pay nothing per year.

💊 This woman just canceled both her and her son’s health insurance — and she’s standing firm even though everyone around her thinks she’s crazy. The new plan would’ve cost her almost $1,000 a month with a huge deductible, so she dropped it completely. Now she’s using GoodRx for her prescriptions (dropped from $50 a month to just $8 for three meds) and asking her doctors for the straight cash/self-pay price — which turned out to be way lower than she expected. It’s such a wild eye-opener about how broken the insurance system has gotten for a lot of families. Would you ever consider dropping your health insurance and going the self-pay/GoodRx route, or does that feel too risky to you? I think it could be a real money saver.

@BullDogGrrrl @EstebanRemlap @end3of6days9 That is the least coverage insurance plan available on the TX marketplace. Insurance $$ is based on age and income. If I divorced my husband, it would be around $400/mo. I'm sure you know these marketplace plans vary greatly from state to state in price and availability.
