I’ve seen this in my family, my mom survived on carbohydrates and sugar and was very into the low fat, non fat craze years ago. She ate margarine and drank diet soda filled with chemical sweetener. I’m not saying this was the total contributor, but she now has dementia. There are other factors. I love pasta and bread but have a sensitivity and generally in my life have always eaten lots of meat, cheese, good butter and eggs. I was told I have an abundance of good cholesterol. Our brains need cholesterol and I truly don’t believe my mother ate enough of it.
