@daddyhope @Chofamba there are some fools who are still going to defend him , Chamisa sold out !
English

It turns out that it was not editorial fiction, my brother. Nelson Chamisa did actually give the interview to the Daily News, which recorded it. After I and many others challenged the Daily News, it has now released part of the recording and says it will soon upload the full interview.
Ironically, the Daily News actually published only the milder comments from him in the original story. It now turns out that he went much further and directly attacked people by name. In this audio, you can hear him criticising Jameson Timba for leading people against Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3.
This is why transparency matters in both journalism and politics. When there is a dispute over what was said, evidence must speak for itself.
Now the serious question that anybody opposed to the violation of the Constitution is asking is this: why is Nelson Chamisa attacking people who are fighting against Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3?
And why did he go onto his timeline two days ago and claim that the Daily News story was fiction and that he never said those things, when the audio now shows that he actually said far more than what was originally published?
The emerging evidence now raises serious credibility and political questions. If he disagreed with those opposing Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3, he had every right to say so openly. But denying the interview entirely, only for recorded audio to emerge later, is what is now deepening public concern and confusion.
In politics, credibility matters. Once leaders begin denying things that are later proven to be true, people naturally begin questioning what else they may not be telling the public honestly.

@daddyhope He said it's editorial fiction and also castigated manufacturing of stories. I think in this case he did justice, but only that he didn't use the words we were looking for...Like pa CAB#3 anotaura ka one isu tichida everyday.

@DubekoSibanda @nelsonchamisa well as the main opposition Leader who had a almost 2 million votes in 2023, are we reall contents as voters about Chamisa’s stance towards CAB3 ?????
English

@nelsonchamisa In the face of effort to diminish the democratic space through CAB3, clarity of thought is important amongst leadership. When State Media Houses cast aspersions about opposition leaders think, response is necessary . Thank you for distancing yourself from that pro 2030 position

IGNORE THE MISCHIEF..,I have noted with deep concern the Daily News front-page story titled, “This engineered pact is hopeless,” which appears to allege that I have dismissed the efforts of others to advance the struggle for a better Zimbabwe in a manner they consider appropriate.
Regrettably, the story is misleading, is a work of editorial fiction, and is intended to inflict injury. It is a fundamental principle of journalism that reporters should report the news, not manufacture it. When editorial standards are compromised in this way, public trust and our freedoms are put at risk.
I remain fully committed to representing the interests of the citizens of Zimbabwe and to advancing the struggle for a better country. In due course, I will be rolling out a plan aimed at achieving that goal. Any attempts to distract us from this objective will not succeed.
Thank you for your consideration of my take. A New Great Zimbabwe in our lifetime. The citizens shall govern!

FIRE GUTS GLENVIEW AREA 8 MARKET
Harare, 17 May 2026 – A devastating fire gutted the Glenview Area 8 Furniture Market in the early hours today, destroying 483 stalls and leaving over 2,000 traders counting heavy losses.
The blaze, which broke out around 1 AM, consumed furniture, raw materials, and equipment worth an estimated US$15 million.
Fire brigades contained the fire, but structures could not be salvaged due to the intensity.
Authorities are investigating possible arson or an electrical fault.
The Civil Protection Unit, working with Government departments including Small and Medium Enterprises, is assessing the damage. Officials said the scale may warrant declaring the incident a national disaster, as the entire market will require extensive rebuilding.

English

@DougColtart You suffer from Sinophobia. How many British names does Zimbabwe still carry in roads, suburbs and other infrastructure and you never find it odd?

Our new Parliament is a nice building, but I found the extremely in-your-face prominence of CHINA AID’s involvement quite distasteful and disrespectful to our sovereignty as a nation. The word “CHINA” is actually more prominent than the word “ZIMBABWE” at the front of Parliament and there are THREE permanent plaques honoring China Aid. Surely we can show our gratitude for China’s support towards its construction while maintaining a bit of self-respect for ourselves as a nation at the house of the Zimbabwean People.

Akomana! Even Malawi is making better roads than ours.

Malawi 🇲🇼 has a striking new six-lane highway in Lilongwe known as the Saulos Chilima Highway. This modern dual carriageway runs from the Parliament roundabout to the Game Complex area. It features smooth asphalt, good drainage, and fresh street lighting that improves safety at night. As one of Malawi’s most advanced urban road projects, it stands out as a clear sign of progress in the capital's infrastructure.

China is unbelievably beautiful. I thought Beijing had already shown me everything -the history, the architecture, the energy -but Chongqing took things to another level. This city is wild in the best way. The scenery, the lights, the mountains, the rivers… it’s breathtaking. And the infrastructure is on a completely different level.
Honestly, wow. Just wow.
