Qualification/ shortlisting criteria, technical/commercial weights, normalization formula...? & There must be a liquidated damages clause & a performance guarantee? Or is everyone just pulling stuff out of their a$$?

@sameerdontulwar The article points to DPR completion year😭 Civil works take~5yrs, cannot cure concrete any early No other route had it's DPR sanctioned abhi tak, only Mumbai-amd, (sanctioned in may'14, DPR was released in 15ish) 1st major civil contract was awarded in 2020, long way to go..

We need to investigate who has stakes at these remote locations where they planning metro because they probably want to sell land to the highest bidder because it absolutely makes no sense at all.

Heck the DPR isn't even done and you're bringing in 'ridership will be low' Being super optimistic, we are 10 years away from seeing this open.... Let's not jump to it, let the DPR happen first

In an age where cities operate buses without conductors, Bengaluru has tenured conductors issuing stage based tickets. When will we adopt flat fares & Zonal fares? When will we redesign routes to align with demand? Qs for BMLTA if it ever gets professionally established.

Guess where I am? Stalled somewhere after jayadeva bus stop. Why? The new @BMTC_BENGALURU ticketing method. The conductor has to generate individual QR codes for each passenger, but since ticketing is for stages, they have to issue all tickets before the bus passes that stage.

There exists no comprehensive plan to overhaul BEST and other operators, heck this would require a transit eval, post which funding would be drawn from state => MoHUA and then union.. Long way before we see any improvement
