One man rule has not worked for our federal government as we’ve seen clearly in 2025. No matter how much @ZohranKMamdani has progressive positions or values, it will not work well for @nycschools either

Very troubling. Every mayor has promised more parent input and then when push comes to shove, they just do what they want. Any system with no locally based checks & balances is inherently dysfunctional & anti- democratic @ZohranKMamdani

@UFT & @ZohranKMamdani reveal their plan to tweak Mayoral Control of @NYCSchools. 1. Parents get 1 extra minute of talk time each at PEP meetings 2. Parents coordinators will jump @DC37nyc ship & pay dues to UFT while their workload increases. 3. Teachers wear blue all year in support of mayoral accountability. Seriously?!

@claudiaayb @educatorsofnyc Wasnt impressed with her. But now? Bracing for further disloyalty and changing of promises with mayoral control. A mixed reception for Samuels and a mid year shuffle that will create disorder in the schools.

@BxEU4J @educatorsofnyc So I agree with the core of this- there is a massive underrepresentation of LatinX in meaningful roles, but I disagree that she wasn't an Adams loyalist. She was and a loud one! At her State of the Schools grandstanding affair, she thanked Adams and again in an email a week ago
