Very interesting paper! F-Procure explores a modular procurement framework built on @FlareNetworks, combining blockchain execution, smart contracts, ERP interoperability, and compliance-aware governance. The idea is that procurement steps like tender creation, bid submission, award, and audit trails could become far more verifiable on Flare. This is also where something like @ProofRails could be relevant as the layer that could turn those blockchain-based workflow events into institution-ready evidence: what happened, when it happened, which rules applied, and what proof supports the final decision. Kudos to @CAYPAX_ on this work.

🚨 Transparency International has estimated that up to US$2 trillion in #Procurement costs could be lost globally to corruption. 🚨 Procurement fraud ranks among the Top 3 most disruptive economic crimes, behind only cybercrime and corruption. 🌍 Governments worldwide typically spend a whopping 13–20% of GDP on public procurement, equating to an estimated global average of about US$9.5 trillion per year. 🇬🇧 In the UK alone, Procurement fraud costs the private sector an estimated £133.6 billion every year. ➡️ NEW JBBA RESEARCH ALERT: 📄 F-Procure: A Decentralised, Modular Framework for Transparent, Compliant and Efficient Procurement on the Flare Network, by Pax Ola of @CAYPAX_, Cayman Islands. 🇰🇾 ➡️ jbba.scholasticahq.com/article/159450… ➡️ KEY HIGHLIGHTS: ✅ A five-layer blockchain architecture — covering execution, smart contracts, ERP interoperability, AI-assisted analytics and compliance governance — designed to make procurement fraud significantly harder to perpetrate and easier to detect. ✅ A sealed-bid commit–reveal protocol ensures bid integrity and eliminates post-submission manipulation — a direct countermeasure to bid rigging, which affects over a third of organisations globally. ✅ Immutable on-chain audit trails allow full procurement sequences — from tender creation to contract award — to be independently reconstructed and verified. People forget sometimes that 6 of the 8 references in Satoshi Nakamoto's original white paper were scientific and academic. On Friday the 8th International Scientific Conference (#ISC2026) on blockchain and digital assets was hosted by the @Brit_blockchain in the Houses of Parliament in London. Research and development form the base of many technical innovations, and we at @xapobankapp are committed to supporting rigorous research, responsible policy development, and the global collaboration needed to strengthen the future of digital finance. This is where meaningful innovation can happen and form the layer for commercial development. We look forward to continuing our work with global partners who share our commitment to security, transparency, and long‑term resilience in the digital‑asset ecosystem. I really enjoyed my session there with @josh_blockchain and Olenka Apperley and the conversations around proportionality and the quality of engagement needed by authorities to build a successful ecosystem in the UK. Also congratulations to the newly inducted BBA Fellows but especially to @josh_blockchain for this great recognition of her work in the space, not only in the US but around the world 🙌 🙌 🙌 Thank you Prof. Dr Naseem Naqvi MBE FBBA, Deborah Cleary and team for their work, and also to @NatalieElphicke and Lord Holmes for their excellent addresses to the conference.

🌐 According to the @UN data, the global cost of #Procurement Fraud adds up to a staggering £1.8 trillion annually. This means vital services are never delivered, critical infrastructure is never built, and people's lives and well-being are at risk.
