Imagine you just courageously used your body as a human shield to protect an important public figure from danger. When duty called, you answered and were willing to risk it all on behalf of your country. But instead of them honoring your courage and sacrifice, the next day you find that people are circulating your photo all across the internet as the butt of their jokes. They’re mocking your body and criticizing your appearance snd saying you’re unworthy of your uniform because you’re a girl. I’m sorry, but this just really upsets me.

@micah_erfan Lots of actions listed but not the outcomes, has the inflation reduction act reduced inflation? Moreover, where a few outcomes are listed there’s context needed, what kinds of jobs were added? Many Americans would not agree with “huge positive changes.”

@Run2blockchaos @AMarBow I think the only thing more damaging is voting for her and not knowing why. Truthfully I’m sure she’s done plenty of good that will never be acknowledged but I think much of the things she’s done sounded good on paper but didn’t deliver as intended. With some exceptions.

I'm still not over Trump promising fossil fuel CEOs that he'll reverse Biden's climate action in return for $1 billion. It's a bribe so outrageous it nearly defies belief—which is why he's paid so little political cost for these moves in the past. Can we change that dynamic?

I just testified once again in opposition to the #NYC congestion pricing scam. The @MTA violated federal law by not conducting an environmental impact statement (which is why we are suing), and NONE of the 102 intersections screened for poor air quality were on #StatenIsland.

So let me get this straight, so the MTA has taken over NYC- yesterday the MTA Chief released a statement- “like it or not, Congestion pricing is happening” when the F@ck did the streets of NYC get taken over by the MTA? So we pay the property taxes & the MTA collects tolls !

@VickieforNYC They haven’t explained it because it won’t. I think we should start a petition that prevents them from accessing funds until there’s a concrete plan for right sizing the cost.

Literally nobody has actually articulated how congestion pricing equals a better MTA. Yes it would give them a billion more dollars. The MTA already has a TWENTY BILLION DOLLAR budget and can't seem to function properly. But this last billion is what's finally going to fix things though? That's the nonsensical argument these people are making. They give these flamboyant emotional appeals for public transit, yet explain nothing beyond 'more money = more good'. It's a religious belief, not a practical one. Everyone wants a better MTA. Nobody actually believes handing them another billion dollars will make any difference. Because it won't. This is more about making life miserable and more expensive for people who drive cars, because they hate cars a lot more than they care about the MTA. Nobody should fall for this act.
